Gasthof Zum Goldenen Hirschen — Restaurant in Burgbernheim (VGem)

I actually stayed at the Hirsch in 1998 but there is no date for that. It is the most lovely place to stay in the area. It was family owned and they are really nice people. Rooms were great. spotless, can't fault it. Food is wonderful, great breakfast in the morning and night time you might think you're in a top Restaurant with the food served.Surrounded by fields although a bit more development has taken place. There is a path from the Town to the top of a hill with a bench at the top, sit there and it's so peaceful, you are about 10mtrs above the Town and can see for miles. Rothenburg odt is 12 mies away and easy to call a Taxi (Obermeirs) family owned,for a reasonable price. Bad Windsheimer is 6 miles the other way and reachable in10 minutes by car. Big Landmuseum there going back at least 500 years, need good shoes. Wurzburg 30-40 minutes away and the surrounding countryside is really worth exploring. 5 minutes away...

Wir waren im April 2023 zu Gast bei Familie Kornder. Im Gasthaus angekommen, fühlten wir uns direkt sehr wohl und wurden überaus freundlich durch den Chef (ein absolutes Unikat!) persönlich empfangen.

Auf unserem wunderbaren Doppelzimmer im Neubau passte dann auch einfach alles. Gemütlich, zeitgemäß und liebevoll eingerichtet, super sauber und durch das offene Gebälk hatte das Zimmer einen ganz wunderbaren Charme. Auch das Bad mit seiner milch-gläsernen Schiebetür und der Regendusche rundete das Bild ab.

Eigentlich dachten wir, dass es ab hier nicht mehr zu toppen wäre... Doch dann verbrachten wir den Abend im hauseigenen Restaurant und ließen uns die Speisen von Herrn Kornder auf der Zunge zergehen. Hier kocht der Chef selbst! Und das mit viel Hingabe und Leidenschaft, die man schmeckt! Er selbst sagte, dass er nur das kocht was ihm schmeckt und wir müssen sagen, er hat dabei einen sehr guten Geschmack. Wir waren rundum zufrieden!

Auch das Frühstücks-Buffet war spitze. Uns erwartete eine große Auswahl und sehr leckere Brötchen im freundlich eingerichteten Frühstücksraum.

Liebe Familie Kornder! Ihr leistet in der 4. Generation eine wirklich großartige Leistung, von der sich manch andere gerne eine Scheibe abschneiden könnte. Wir waren gerne zu Gast in eurem Hause und es wird nicht das letzte Mal gewesen sein.
