Lovely main floor, beautiful quiet little town, epic food. Nice people and some very nice neighborhood cats :)
For Americans specifically: the rooms are spacious, the food is amazing (if you are new to Germany, be aware dining is much quieter and peaceful here).
But seriously, the food was delicious- did not expect that from a small hotel in a small town! The staff was very kind about my quasi-German language skills, and we made things work just fine despite the language barrier.
I understand about 2/3 of the hotel is renovated into a lovely Bavarian aesthetic, and 1/3 is in a more mid-century modern older look. They are very different looks, but I was very comfortable nonetheless. Lovely views from the room over the village. The linoleum in the bathroom was a modernists dream- hipsters in Munich dream about such linoleum! :)
Overall- I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I will dream...
