Athen Restaurant — Restaurant in Dülmen

I’m retired and have had the privilege of touring (by car and motorcycle) through many countries in the last two months. This was - hands down - the best food I have had in any restaurant in Europe during this period. I was blown away by the starter but avoided eating too much because I knew the main course would be special. When it came, I asked if they had served a meal for three people by mistake. But no, this is what they offer for one hungry tourist. I’m ashamed to say I only managed half of the main dish but I enjoyed every mouthful. After that, the Ouzo they gave me on the house was a great digestive! Great service, great value and unbeatable food....

Gestern war ich das erste Mal in diesem Restaurant. Es hat mir dort sehr gut gefallen, sowohl das Ambiente, wie auch die Service Kräfte. Alle waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen mehr als reichlich. Das Restaurant ist nicht ganz barrierefrei, 3 Stufen sind zu bewältigen. Aber die Service Kräfte sind jederzeit gerne behilflich. Und ab dem 1. Mai sind auch draußen Tische geplant, dann dürfte es auch für Rollsdtuhlfahrer kein Problem sein. Eine Tischreservierung ist sicherlich generell angebracht, denke ich. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder 😀 Natürlich empfehle ich das Athen...

Nachdem die Dorfschmiede in Buldern geschlossen wurde öffnete dort das griechische Restaurant Athen.

Anfangs war ich etwas skeptisch ob das neue Restaurant auch wirklich ins Dorf passt. Meine Meinung dazu hat sich schnell geändert, da der Chef super lieb ist, die Stammmitarbeiter der Dorfschmiede alle übernommen wurden und das Essen einfach nur köstlich ist.

Für einen guten Preis bekommt man dort ein ordentliches Gericht.

Ein Stern Abzug aber weil ich meinen Thekenhocker nicht mehr zurück bekomme. Aber...
