We have stayed here many times as a mid-way stop from Northern Germany to Southern Germany. The food at the restaurant was an excellent selection from the menu, but we went with the daily special - which was scheufle (pork shoulder) with knudle & gravy. Paired it with a terrific red wine & local beer for hubby. Alles war Wunderbar!!! Highly recommend pulling in in time for dinner. The chef is the son of the owners & the daughter is a beer sommelier. Great family business tie-ins!|Don't hesitate to do dessert too! I had the creme brulee...mmmmm! What a way to end...

Excellent food is what the kitchen excels in and they are masters of choosing a wine to balance the meal. This time we happened to arrive when Manfred celebrated his 70tieth birthday but we nevertheless ordered fresh asparagus.
