We arrived late in the afternoon and did not know where to check-in we went inside to a restaurant there's a guy on the counter who doesn't speak English he called someone a lady came and welcomed us she speak English a little bit.||||Unlike to other guest house without asking for registration or ID she just took us to our room. The room is basic with double bed, small tv, two chairs and table. The bathroom is somewhat small with shower, toilet and lavabo. A cabinet right behind the door, the room had completely a wooden floor. They have different rooms: suite or with balcony in different price, we have just the basic room||||Free wifi overall with login password. The least thing I didn't like in the room that there wasn't enough electrical plug. There were two plugs available one is located next to a switch which was too high to used and the other one is in the bathroom the one for hair dryer. Anyway we sorted it out, I use one in the bathroom||||This place has restaurant with nice outdoor sitting good in summer months. The owners are not pure German, this is like a family business ran by two men and a woman and a kid. They're all very friendly. As a guest house the room is not make-up in the morning and expect to use the same towels unless you request to clean your room||||A large breakfast included the room price which serves between 8 and 10 am. We pay €60 a night per room and well worth the price. There are not much around, but you have the beautiful environment||||The guesthouse don't accept credit card if you plan to stay and dine this only payable in cash. Laurenburg is very tiny town/village no banks or ATM machine, before coming to the area be sure to withdraw some cash in bigger towns||||The location of the guest house is near the Lahn river and Nassau Castle is just a short walk. I was impressed of the surroundings so quiet and peaceful. In the evening you can walk along the river there is a walking path or rent a canoe or kayak the owner has canoe and kayaks for rent. Read morewe arrived there after 4pm, so definitely after the check in time. the guys at the bar told us to wait because the owner was not there yet. It came off as a bit fishy so we asked if the room still was avaialbe? The staff said yes and requested us to wait. after about 90 minutes the owner came and told us that they had given our room away. To be fair, the owner offered to take us to a different location of theirs which was 15-20km away. We did not take him up on that because the hotel did not make any good...
