Jagdschloss Thiergarten — Restaurant in Donaustauf (VGem)

The best restaurant I've been to, run by a very nice couple, Mr. and Mrs. Beck, where Mr. Beck is a really great cook and Mrs. Beck is a wonderful Lady of the Castle 🤗 The restaurant and the golf club are in a castle in the forest, which is conveniently accessible about 15 km from Regensburg. The dishes are very, very tasty. You can sit in one of the castle rooms or outside on the terrace, from where there is a beautiful view of the park and old giant trees, and the golf courses. You can often spot an owl or hare somewhere. The interior of the castle and the access road to it make an amazing impression. There are 2 car parks, so there is no need to worry that there is no place to leave the car, but I highly recommend going to the restaurant there also by bike, because everywhere there is a forest, meadows, silence, numerous tourist paths. It is worth noting that during the war the castle served as a hospital and then an orphanage. The dishes in the restaurant can be enjoyed from morning to evening. Though having deer antlers hanging from the wall isn't my favorite them, the restaurant is nice and quiet place to grab a bite or sip on coffee with friends. The surroundings aside from the golf courses are pleasant and well maintained. The staff was great, but the cake not quite. The carrot cake should be renamed, nut cake or definitely-never-again-cake 🙃 All in all a very pleasant place with average prices for the location. Das Jagdschloss Thiergarten ist eine Hochzeitslocation, wie man sie sich nur wünschen kann. Durch meine Arbeit als Hochzeitsfotograf besuche ich regelmäßig verschiedene schöne Locations, aber das Jagdschloss Thiergarten ist mir stark in Erinnerung geblieben. Eingebettet in die Natur und umgeben von weitläufigen Grünflächen bietet es eine traumhafte Kulisse für eine unvergessliche Feier.

Der offene Außenbereich ist großzügig, ruhig gelegen und ideal für freie Trauungen, Empfang und entspannte Momente im Grünen. Am Abend sorgt das atmosphärische Licht aus Kerzen und Laternen für eine warme, fast magische Stimmung, die sich wunderbar in Bildern festhalten lässt.

Drinnen erwartet einen ein stilvoller Empfangsbereich mit gemütlicher Couch, edler Bar und liebevoll eingerichteten Räumen, die sich perfekt für Gespräche, Fotos und den festlichen Teil des Abends eignen.

Das Personal war durchweg freundlich, organisiert und absolut professionell. Man spürt sofort, dass hier Erfahrung und Herzlichkeit Hand in Hand gehen.

Fotografisch ist das Schloss ein echter Traum. Ob Portraits im Wald, Gruppenbilder auf den Wiesen oder liebevolle Momente in den wunderschön dekorierten Innenräumen.

Für alle Paare, die in einem stilvollen Schloss mit viel Natur, Platz und Atmosphäre feiern möchten, ist das Jagdschloss Thiergarten eine außergewöhnlich schöne Wahl und ein absoluter Geheimtipp!
