China Star — Restaurant in Donauwörth

Clean and well taken care off Chinese restaurant. The food is well presented on a buffet. There's a part of raw food (meet, fish and veggies) to be freshly stir fried by the chefs and a part of prepared dishes, sushi and deserts. All dishes I've tried were well cooked tasting really good. It's a large place and there were a lot of people. Still the buffet stayed filled the entire time we were there. The restaurant has an all you can eat and drink (!) formula, including the beer for under 25 euros each. The restaurant has a policy against food spill so try a tiny little bit and take more if you like it, that's the way to go here. The anti spill policy is why they earned...

Große Auswahl Speisen sind gut gefüllt benutzte Teller und leere Flaschen werden häufig abgeräumt Separate Zubereitung erfolgt zügig, auch wenn schon einige Teller "Schlange stehen" EC-Kartenzahlung kein Problem. Für Trinkgeld gibt es eine Box an der Kasse am Eingang.

Sehr laut, leider kein Schallschutz

Wir waren Samstag Abend ab 17:45 für ca. 1 1/2 Stunden dort. Wir haben, obwohl nur zu dritt, einen Tisch reserviert. Anfangs war noch ziemlich leer, es ist aber schnell voller geworden! Das ist an sich kein Problem, weil es sich gut verläuft und reichlich Speisen vorhanden waren, aber leider wird es sehr laut und ungemütlich. Der Preis ist teuer (aktuell 26,90 EUR), bei der Auswahl aber angemessen. Ist halt mal was Besonderes. 😁 Ein Tipp: Lieber erstmal zum Probieren von allem nur ein Stück nehmen und sich dann entscheiden, wovon man nachfassen möchte. Leider sind die Augen hier viel größer als der Magen. 😉 Bei ca. 8 Personen empfehle ich einen runden Tisch zu reservieren. Das haben wir zuletzt vor Corona gemacht, hatten aber eine tolle Atmosphäre. Achtung: Lest die Schilder! Es gibt einige Hinweise, die es einem aber erleichtern. Z.B. sollte aufgegessen und ausgetrunken werden, sonst bezahlt man extra (find ich gut, um Verschwendung zu vermeiden). Und die Klipse am Tisch sind für die spezielle Zubereitung roher Speisen: Kommt an den Teller, den man hinten auf die Theke zum Anbraten stellt. Und noch ein Hinweis: Erwartet hier eine andere Kultur. Man bekommt einen Hauch Asien zu spüren, da wird man nicht betüdelt wie z.B. in USA. Es findet, da Buffet, ja auch keine klassische...

Have had dinner here multiple times and it's always awesome! Good selection of various foods like sushi, fried stuff, salads, meats and seafood for the BBQ! Also the drink selection (which is included in the price) is pretty good and includes Arizona ice tea and beer!!

Don't go for lunch though.... pretty disappointing... food was cold, sauces way to liquid and tasteless and not a lot of drinks included.... spend the extra money and have a great...
