Hands down one of my top three favorite restaurants in the world. My husband has been taking me here every time we visit his family in Germany for the last six years. Usually during our month long stay, we’ll visit Cafe Raffaello at least 5 times. We have never had a negative experience. The restaurant is always so clean and looks beautiful especially around the holidays. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry most of my life and have never seen a restaurant handle peak service hours as flawlessly as they do here. Despite the massive amount of guests they serve, they have remembered us when we come back to restaurant during our German vacations and always have an English menu ready for me. Their food was phenomenal when we were vegetarians and I was so worried we wouldn’t be able to find anything to eat since we became vegans, but I was pleasantly surprised by some of the options. We saw the Cafe Raffaello on a sunny Sunday afternoon as a chance to get some cool refreshments. The overall location was rather nice and the outside area was well kept.
The restaurant was what I would call decently visited. There were still a few tables outside that were free.
As such we were rather surprised when we got our orders one after another with breaks of 10-15 minutes in between. My father got his food and once he was finished they brought the food for my brother and once he was finished my mothers food arrived. Understandable if the restaurant is struggling with a lot of customers however this was not the case. As such we were already a bit disappointed.
On the plus side the food that arrived looked and tasted rather well. (See picture) this however brings me to my final point as my order of an Giotto ice cup was just ignored.
After paying for the other three and with an empty stomach as well as unfulfilled hopes of a refreshing ice we then left.

Zwei Sterne im Gesamten. Mehr kann ich leider nicht geben. Dass Essen bekommt von mir zwei Sterne. Pizza war trocken...Geschmacklich ok. Preis Leistung ok. Service: 1 Stern. Aus dem Grund, dass unser Kellner so unglaublich! Unfreundlich war!!! Haben uns super! Unwohl gefühlt und werden wegen ihm nicht mehr wieder kommen. Älterer Herr, (blaue?), runde Brille, schwarze Haare. Nichtmal richtig begrüßt...wir kamen mit unserem kleinen Sohn. Kinderstuhl war nicht in Sichtweite, also nahmen wir, bis wir einen gefunden haben, einen Nachbartischstuhl (niemand saß dort), und saßen ihn darauf. Als wir in Ruhe saßen, kam besagter Kellner, schüttelte arrogant den Kopf und ,,warf" uns die Speisekarten auf den Tisch, gab sie uns nichtmal in die Hände. Wir schauten uns dann schnell nach einem Kinderstuhl um, was wir so oder so machen wollten. Daraufhin kam der Kellner im gleichen Moment, und nahm sauer den 3. Dazugestellten Stuhl, und äußerte empört, dass er jetzt den Tisch, von dem wir den den Stuhl entfernt hatten, nun wieder benutzen könne. Ich verstehe es, dass ihm dass wichtig ist. Trotzdem hätte man uns am Anfang evtl. Direkt einen Kinderstuhl bringen können (ich kenne einige Restaurants, in denen es so ist. Dass wäre einfach ein richtig super Service gewesen...), oder uns freundlich darauf ansprechen können, dass wir doch SOFORT einen holen sollen ;). Dann hätte sich der gute Mann nicht ärgern müssen...wir waren dass 1. Mal dort im Restaurant und haben erstmal keinen Kinderstuhl gefunden. Unser Sohn wäre auch auf einem normalen Stuhl sitzen geblieben. Auch als wir am Ende, auf seine Frage, ob dass Essen geschmeckt haben, ehrlich waren, war er nicht wirklich konstruktiv, sondern eher pampig...dass die Pizza so trocken gehört...Spezialität...soll so sein. Dass Ambiente war aber sehr schön. Schön im Donauwörther Ried. Am Wasser. Kurzum...ich war nicht wirklich begeistert. Und wir kommen nicht mehr wieder. Dass andere Personal, was uns leider nicht bediente, wirkte von weitem schon viiiiellll!!!...
