Restaurant Schenkel's am Sittardsberg — Restaurant in Duisburg

This is a very nice hotel and I can absolutely not say anything negative about them.||It is located in a suburb in the south of the city, quite close to Düsseldorf. There is a very good connection by public transport to both city centers: right next to the hotel is a subway station and the line (U79) connects the central stations of both Duisburg and Düsseldorf. So if you have business in Düsseldorf, it is not a bad idea to base yourself here.||We were greeted in a friendly manner by reception staff and received an upgrade to a superior room which was a nice start of our stay.||Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with free wifi. And wifi worked well!||There is a small shopping center around the hotel and hotel guests can park here for free during their stay.||Breakfast was nice and filling.||Isolation of the room was good: we did not hear any noise from outside even though the hotel is next to a busy road.||Duisburg has a reputation for being a grim industrial town but we enjoyed our stay...

The hotel is located on the South side of Duisburg right by the Train station Sittardsberg. The Building is a 1970 style Building with renovated interiour. It is rated as three star.||||I enjoyed two rooms during my stay. Both rooms have been small, the interior of the bathroom was not in order on one. I told the staff that the room was in that condition, no reduction. The glas door in the shower did not close and water was all over. The water tap in the sink was loose and could be twisted 90 degrees. These two issues shall be identified by the staff rather than by the guest.||||I am not blaming a Hotel for sudden indicents, These two have been obvious.||||Positive is the breakfast which is served from 5 am. The Food selection is very good - egg dishes are made...
