Toscano — Restaurant in Dusseldorf

I’m very sad to have to write a review like this. The food is so delicious and yummy. But the service lets it down massively. Every time we have gone. They say there is no table free when every table has no one sitting at it. When you eventually are allowed to sit down at a table. You don’t become any bread or olives or cutlery. But the one waiter starts putting it down for all the empty tables. THAT NO ONE IS SAT AT!! But not the one that we are sat at with people including a child on. Please make that make sense. Not forgetting to mention as we have sat down two tables are now occupied. They both get bread and olives drinks etc… we are also paying too we may not be regulars or elderly people. But we are also paying and would expect the same as the other people. Such a shame the waiting experience lets the restaurant down massively. Because the food is so good. I hope this improves in the future. & for the reviews who say the staff are friendly. You lied.. very...

Essen: Vorspeisenteller sehr gut, Pasta mit Trüffeln war in Ordnung (in einigen Restaurants schon besser gegessen), die Pizza ok. Das Tartufo, auf was wir uns so gefreut hatten, war leider ausverkauft. Die Preise fanden wir eher günstig. Service: Getränkeannahme dauert zu lange, kurz angebunden, keine freundliche Gestik und Mimik. Die Dame war aber auch deutlich im Stress. Jedoch auch bei freundlichen Ansprachen und Kompliment für die schöne Bar nur eine sehr kurz angebundene Reaktion. Der ältere Herr ignoriere uns ein paar Mal; wenn wir ihn ansprachen. Verbesserungspotenzial! Ambiente: Ist ok, eher einfach und schlicht. Es fehlt ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal, eine Seele. Die Gäste wirkten teils etwas versnobt (Tennisclub…). Fazit: Wir waren der Empfehlung von Nachbarn gefolgt, können dieser aber nicht zustimmen. In dem Restaurant fühlen wir uns nicht besonders wohl / willkommen und das Essen war nur durchschnittlich. A small restaurant in Tennis club. We enjoyed lunch so much. Delicious and enough quantity for us, Korean couple. The cook and staff are so friendly. We will taste a Seafood soup someday. 😄 At last, the price is cheaper than the quality...
