Note, this review is for the restaurant only, as we did not stay overnight.||||We invited friends for dinner to celebrate the wife's birthday. While they had never been to Traube before, we had been going for many years, through the previous two sets of owners. We enjoyed many evenings at Traube, and we hoped that someone would acquire the property and carry on the fine tradition of Traube in the restaurant and the hotel.||||The service was excellent. Attentive, but not hovering. Helpful but not pushy. Responsive and very polite.||||We all elected to take the four course dinner with paired wines. The food was very well done. The dishes were attractively displayed, ingredients fresh, and overall very inventive and delicious. Wine pairings match perfectly and, although I've only tried one, the non-alcoholic juices are an interesting option. The style of service combines relaxed friendliness and professional confidence. ||||It is definitely worth staying overnight; to be able to simply walk upstairs after dinner, sleep well in the comfortable rooms, then to continue the fine dining with breakfast in the morning.||||I also loved the Traube under the previous management and many of the things that made it to such a pleasure to visit (the elegant dining room, garden for eating outside in summer) are maintained.
