Landgasthof Schlossberg — Restaurant in Enkenbach-Alsenborn

Trip Advisor lists this as Schlossberg Landgasthof, but their card says Landgasthof Schlossberg.|| I stayed here in September 2017 for two nights. The room was spacious and clean. I was traveling alone and had a nice double bed. The bathroom was modern with a shower. The hotel probably has about 12 rooms. It is a little west of Frankenstein and east of Kaiserslautern. It is about a 20 minute drive to Bad Durkheim. Parking is free. The hotel is very lovely looking from the outside - what one would expect in this area of Germany.|| I already wrote a review of the restaurant, but I will also review it here. I had one lunch and two dinners at the restaurant, and also the included breakfast on two mornings. A husband and wife run this place and the husband is a chef. The food was delicious, especially the Wienerschnitzel, which was the best I ever tasted. The food was hot and the portions were quite large.|| The wife had recently had a baby, and so her mother was running the hotel when I was there. The mother was excellent - very welcoming and attentive. She also spoke excellent English. If the daughter is like her, she is terrific. || I had a reservation at this hotel through a service but, to avoid payment, I had to cancel it several days earlier because I was not sure whether floods in the USA would affect my air travel and arrival date. I told the service I would go there if I could. I did not have a web address for the hotel and so could not contact them directly, but when I got there, they had a room waiting for me.|| The only disadvantage is that there is no elevator. You go up outside stairs to the approximately three rooms on each of about four floors. I was on the third floor and managed fine. They probably would have helped me with my luggage if I needed it.|| I highly recommend the Landgasthof...

Ich werde hier eine etwas andere Art der Rezession von mir geben. Vorab möchte ich für alle, die sich für die Qualität der Zimmer und Speisen interessieren, mitteilen, dass ich nicht über ebendiese berichten werde. Es geht rein um den Service und die Freundlichkeit der Besitzerin - jeder kann sich sein eigenes Bild vom Landgasthof Schlossberg machen, aber das, was ich zu berichten habe, soll zum Ausdruck bringen, wie entsetzt ich über die Besitzerin und ihr Verhalten war.

Am 01. September 2024 war ich auf dem Rückweg von KL kommend, als ein Reifen platzte und ich notgedrungen auf den Parkplatz in Frankenstein beim Landgasthof Schlossberg musste. Dort stellte ich den Wagen ab, der nun einen Platten hatte. Direkt wandte ich mich an das Personal im Landgasthof. eine sehr nette, junge Bedienung meinte, es sei kein Problem, dass ich dort stehe würde. Sie würde der Chefin Bescheid geben.

Ich rief sofort per SOS-Taste im Auto den ADAC. Dieser benötigte an diesem Tag satte 2 Stunden, um anzukommen und mir zu helfen (leider hatte ich weder Ersatzreifen, noch die Möglichkeit das Reparatur-Set zu verwenden, da der Riss im Reifen zu groß war).

Die Zeit überbrückte ich und bestellte bei der freundlichen Bedienung eine Flasche Wasser und setzte mich vor den Gasthof. Es war schon sehr spät und abzusehen, dass der Gasthof vor der Ankunft des ADAC-Mannes schließen würde.

Ich bezahlte bei der Schließung des Gasthofes brav mein Wasser, lobte noch die Freundlichkeit der Bedienung und lernte die (zu dem Zeitpunkt) noch gut gelaunte Chefin kennen. Ich meinte, dass ich nun sicher auch mal kommen würde, um auch die Speisen zu genießen und den Gasthof vorher noch nicht gekannt hatte.

Und nun geht es los.... Ich setzte mich draußen in mein Auto mit dem Platten und wartete. Der ADAC-Mann rief mich ca. 7 min vor seinem Eintreffen an und bat mich, die Warnblinkanlage einzuschalten, damit er mich in der Dunkelheit lokalisieren könne. Das tat ich auch. Und direkt danach rannte wutentbrannt die Chefin auf das Auto zu. Sie hatte ein Weinglas in der Hand und es mutete an, dass sie schon einen erlesenen Tropfen genossen hatte. Sie schrie mich an, ich solle sofort diese sch... Blinkerei beenden. Sie hätte eh schon einen miesen Tag hinter sich gehabt und sei von allem genervt. Als ich ihr in freundlichem Ton meine Verwunderung über ihren Gemütswechsel zum Ausdruck brachte und sagte, dass der ADAC mich suchen würde und "das Geblinke" gleich aufhören würde, wurde sie noch lauter. Sie würde ausrasten, wenn ich nicht den Warnblinker abstellen würde. Sie wurde unsachlich aggressiv, so dass ich hier lieber nicht alles preisgebe, was sie mit Wein im Kopf rausbrüllte.

Ich stellte, damit die Situation nicht eskalierte, die Warnblinker ab. Und was geschah? Der ADAC-Mann fuhr an mir vorbei. Glücklicherweise war seine Nr., von der aus er mich zuvor angerufen hatte, noch bei mir gespeichert. So konnte ich ihn zurücklotsen. Der Reifen wurde repariert und ich "flüchtete" vor der hasserfüllten Chefin.

Ich wünsche niemandem, dass er Sonntagsnachts in solch eine Situation gerät. Mit der Familie hängenbleiben mit gerissenem Reifen, die Familie mit dem Zug wegschicken, im Auto warten und in einem Landgasthof freundlich Bescheid geben, noch ein Wasser trinken, sich bedanken und dann aggressiv niedergemacht werden.

Allein dieses Verhalten ist derart indiskutabel, dass ich mir die Mühe für diese Rezession gemacht habe. Sollten potenzielle Gäste künftig ebenso behandelt werden, dann dürfte sich das Thema bald erledigt haben.

Ausdrücklich möchte ich aber an dieser Stelle darauf hinweisen, dass die Bedienung (junge, blonde, nette Dame) NICHT gemeint war, sondern nur...
