Immediately off the Main Bike Trail and a small crossriver ferry . The owner/manager is a very effervescent, friendly and helpful women who made us feel at ease immediately . The guest house is definitely old but has had a lot of renovation inside and the rooms are great . Very clean and comfortable . Our room, #14 had three great windows which gave us a wonderful view of the River Main as well as great light . Bathroom was very clean , shower had good water pressure.|In front of the house is an elevated sun terrace to sit and drink or eat while watching the River go by . |Restaurant was closed the night we were there but 200m. up the hill was the Gasthaus Rose which had an excellent and reasonable dinner .|Breakfast at Zum Schiff was really good and bountiful with eggs made to your order and many other food choices . |Very good secure bike storage . Wir kamen gestern Abend ohne Reservierung aus Maßbach an – und wurden direkt herzlich und unglaublich freundlich vom Team empfangen. Obwohl wir nur zu zweit waren, bekamen wir einen wunderbar großen Tisch. Schon beim Eintreten fiel uns die gemütliche Atmosphäre auf: Die liebevolle Dekoration und das stimmige Ambiente sorgten sofort dafür, dass wir uns wohlfühlten. Uns war direkt klar: Hier werden wir zufrieden und glücklich wieder rausgehen.

Nachdem wir unsere Getränke bestellt hatten, stöberten wir durch die Speisekarte – und waren begeistert. Jedes einzelne Gericht, das wir probiert haben, war ein kulinarisches Highlight. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns das kreative Carpaccio mit Rosinen, Zucchini und reichlich Rucola – wunderbar frisch, aromatisch und perfekt aufeinander abgestimmt. Auch die Hauptgerichte waren fantastisch – von den Beilagen über den Salat bis hin zu den Lammecken war einfach alles auf den Punkt.

Beim nächsten Mal freuen wir uns schon darauf, draußen auf der Terrasse zu sitzen, das schöne Wetter zu genießen und den Ausblick auf das Wasser mitzunehmen. Besonders praktisch: Es gibt direkt am Wasser einen kostenlosen Parkplatz – stressfrei ankommen und genießen.
