Sommer's Restaurant — Restaurant in Füssen

Unfortunately, we didn’t really enjoy our visit to this restaurant in Füssen. The vegetarian main course, priced at over €22, was extremely small (see photo) and not worthy of being called a main dish. When we complained, we were first told that the portion size was "normal" — only later did we receive a small addition.

The atmosphere felt very outdated and was not cozy at all, reminding us more of a university cafeteria than a proper restaurant. There’s definitely room for improvement in terms of interior and ambiance.

On the positive side, the service staff was very kind and attentive, doing their best to assist us — thank you for that.

Overall, the restaurant should lower its self-image a bit and focus on offering more substantial, well-rounded dishes at fair prices.

Das Hotel Sommer ist ein schönes 4 Sterne Hotel direkt am See, neben der Schiffsanlegestelle Füssen. Wir haben Übernachtung mit Halbpension gebucht, Preis pro Nacht und Person ca. 200€. Am Buffet konnte man sich mit Salat und Suppe bedienen, den Hauptgang konnte man aus 5 Gerichten aussuchen. Wir entschieden uns für den Zwiebelrostbraten. Der fiel sehr übersichtlich aus. Am 2. Abend gab es Kalbshaxe, bzw. Zander. Da waren wir satt. Fazit: Preise etwas zu hoch - die freundlichen Mitarbeiter aber machten alles wieder gut. Vom Zimmer waren wir anfangs etwas enttäuscht. Das Sofa gab es nicht, auch keine Klimaanlage. Dass der See eine Mückenplage erlebt, kann man natürlich dem Hotel nicht anrechnen. Allerdings muss man den Mitarbeitern des Hotels hoch anrechnen, dass sie alle Wünsche und Probleme sofort erfüllt bzw. gelöst haben. Wir bekamen sogleich einen Ventilator ins Zimmer.
