Waldsee Hunting Castle — Restaurant in Feldberger Seenlandschaft

Spent two nights at the Jadgschloss with my wife and our dog, we really enjoyed it. Went there on a stopover on a longer car trip. The location is wonderful if you want to stay deep in the forest (we started a whole-day hike directly from the hotel). Prices are fair (75 EUR incl breakfast if you accept the room with the view on the forest and the parking, which we didn't mind, or you pay 10 EUR extra for the lakeview but then you have no sun in the evening; both types of rooms have balconies). The breakfast was just fine, and we really liked the restaurant. The dinner was tasty, nicely prepared and the staff was friendly and professional. The rooms offer everything you need, there's even Wi-Fi in this remote location. The hotel also has a sauna with relaxation rooms attached, all of that seemed brand new. Small minuses - once when we asked the waitress to switch on the sauna she forgot about it so we had to remind her. Also, all rooms are non-smoking but there was a smell in our room which we thought was because the room used to be a smoking room some time ago (but then when we kept the window open over night the smell seemed gone). From the first welcome to the good bye it was an awesome stay. The environment is stunning, pure nature, in which this gem of a small hotel is nested. The location is remote and kind of disconnected. Don't try to make your business meetings from here. Go here, if you want to excape bustling cities and noisy places. Here nature does the noise. Swimming in the cristal clear water of the lake, taking a free ride with the boat on the lake, have a walk in the forrest around the lake,, ride a bike, use the sauna or simply relax while reading a book. That's all easy possible at this place. We extended our stay right after arrival. Needless to say that the staff was friendly and always helpful. Breakfast was great and with plenty of choices. It need to be said, that currently the hotel doesnt have dinner options, so that you need to go out to one of the restaurants in the surrounding villages.
