Pizzeria Sardegna — Restaurant in Gemeindeverwaltungsverband Albstadt

I think I ate my first pizza 45+ years ago here and was happy and positively surprised being back do many years later.

I grew up not far from here. We rarely went out to eat beacuse money was tight when I was a kid. But this place always was a if we go then we go here place because of the quality, the wood oven and the Ambiente.

But away with the history, hello present day :)

Went there late Sunday afternoon. Walked on and was remembering that the place didn't change much. The smells, the wood ovens and the pizza baking in them make for a special aroma, the radiant heat you can feel is just a different warm. I was astonished by the size of the team working. There are two dining rooms, we went to the left. We were seated immediately even though most of the place had reserved signs on the tables. Service was impeccable. We had 3 servers and there wasn't this , one server one table situation that can cause delays. All 3 of them took good care of us. Super attentive without crowding us.

I ordered a Pizza Sardegna and my old Dad had a Lasagna (my dad managed to completly confuse the waiter with his style but all went well).

The portions were outrageous. His Lasagna wasn't the size we are used to, one little square. It was two squares, big ones, baked in the oven as it should be, they did not go easy on the cheese either, and the old guy destroyed the whole portion like a starved man....he is 80! He absolutely loved his food and would even let me try....

I was so waiting, and hoping,to get a pizza ad I was used to from my youth. On a plate (not a frigging aluminum round) not pre cut, piping hot fresh from the wood fired oven.

The dough was thick where it needed to be (outside crust) thin where it had to be (the bottom of the pizza) and to die for. The ingredients were fresh. From our place I could see how they prepared the pizza. In the US you usually get the pressed machinated ham, not here. Fresh, of the bone, no fillers. Everything was fantastic.

When the Pizza came I thought, oh my I n Ed a box. Haha nope.... destroyed the whole thing...and a salad (also absolutely fresh) .

If you are in the neighborhood, even half an hour away, go there, see and taste yourself. I can only speak for myself but I will when I will be back in the old stumping grounds.

Big smile and heavy thumbs up from me, and that's a pretty rare...

In der Speisekarte wird hingewiesen, dass man gerne sagen soll, wenn einem etwas nicht gepasst hat oder wenn einem etwas gefallen hat, damit man sich verbessern kann. Ganz ehrlich, ich hatte nicht das Gefühl, dass ich offen meine Kritik äußern hätte können. Denn die Frau hinter der Theke war sowas von Unsympathisch. Sie kann nichts dafür, denn sie hat uns nicht mal bemerkt, wahrgenommen oder gesehen. Denn nicht mal als wir gegangen sind gab es einen Blickkontakt von ihr um uns zu verabschieden.

Vorab: Die Sterne sind NICHT für das Essen, lediglich für mein Wohlfühlen in diesem Lokal als Familie mit 2 Kleinen Kindern.

Familien kennen es, man isst mit Kindern einfach nicht mehr entspannt.. und hofft dass es trotzdem nett wird.

Ich habe mich vom Eingang der Türe bis zum Ende unwohl gefühlt,bzw unwillkommen. Das ist nur MEINE Meinung und MEIN Empfinden, also bitte akzeptiert meine Bewertung oder lest sie einfach nicht.

Ich kenne Sardegna seit meiner Jugend. Leckeres Essen und man kann draußen sitzen usw.

Heute als Mutter mit 2 Kindern, bekommt man schon mal ein nettes Lächeln oder Sprüche von Kellnern,oder Restaurantbesitzern usw, weil sie Kinder mögen, oder zumindest freundlich wirken wollen.

Hier im Sardegna gab es NULL Sympathie, kein Lächeln, kein Blickkontakt und kein Begrüßen als wir das Restaurant betreten hatten. Selbst als wir schon an einem Tisch saßen, hat man uns mit KEINEM Lächeln begrüßt, bzw überhaupt nicht begrüßt oder mal ein Blick zu geworfen. Nichts, als wären wir in einem falschen Film. Es war ca 18.45 Uhr und noch nicht viel los.

Irgendwann kam dann mal eine junge Kellnerin und begrüßte uns doch noch mit Speisekarten in der Hand und einem Lächeln. Halleluja! aber das wars dann auch leider schon.

Die Frau mit blondem gewelltem Haar hinter der Theke schien die Chefin zu sein, aber sicher bin ich nicht. Sie hatte den ganzen langen Aufenthalt von uns kein einziges Mal ein freundliches Gesicht für Ihre Gäste übrig. UND WENN SIE DIE CHEFIN WAR, dann hoffe ich dass Sie das liest, denn so ein Gesicht geht GAR NICHT. Kein Gast kann etwas dafür, wenn sie einen schlechten Tag hat oder was auch immer... Und sie hat wirklich kontinuierlich ein sowas von unsympathischen Gesichtsausdruck gehabt.. .

Der junge Kellner der unsere Bestellung aufnahm, scheint auch nicht viel zu Lächeln. Er hatte keines für uns und erst recht nicht für die Kinder übrig. Ich habe mich absolut unwohl gefühlt, als würden unsere Kinder hier nicht gern gesehen... und werde auch nicht mehr dahin gehen wollen.

Die Pizzen sahen sehr gut aus und waren gut. Meine Spaghetti waren absolut mein Geschmack, allerdings echt wenig Parmesan und etwas "lieblos" hergerichtet. Woanders wird noch "Grünzeug" als Deko an den Tellerrand gestreut.

Der Außenbereich wirkt etwas Kahl, er ist hinter dem Haus. Der Innenbereich ist normal. Nicht modern, aber auch nicht extrem Altbacken. Man Hat Platz um die Tische.

Meistens stimmt es, wenn man sagt Italiener lieben kleine Kinder....

We went to this pizzeria for a sunny evening dinner. We sat outside and the surrounding was really nice. We had a drink and shared a plate of cheese as starter. That was really tasty and a lot of cheese (4 different ones). We ordered pizza and they were absolutely fantastic!!! The dough was perfect and the amount of fresh and tasty ingrediens was perfect.
