I can't comment on the food as we didn't stay long enough. We were a group of 10 with 3 dogs and had said at the time of booking that we were coming with 3 dogs. Despite this we were given 10 places at a long table where at least 10 more could have joined us, right by the entrance to the room and next to a table with another dog who was barking at ours. Being dogs, and 2 of them rescue dogs, they obviously barked too. Nothing was said to the people on the other table but we were told that we'd have to put our dogs in the car if they barked again. We were made to feel very unwelcome so left before we were thrown out. There are ways if saying things, but the way we were told without them even asking if the dogs were likely to settle and without so much as a hello... 0 points for customer relations. We thought as they have a rescue dogs too they would be more understanding and would not expect dogs to be left in the car, especially...

Sind auf dem Heimweg von einer mehrtägigen Wanderung überraschend und ohne Reservierung reingeplatzt. Man kannte uns nicht und es war sehr viel los, trotzdem wurden wir sehr freundlich und ruhig begrüßt und der letzte freie Tisch für uns vorbereitet. Wir wählten verschiedene Gerichte, die allesamt wunderbar geschmeckt haben, das Fleisch auf den Punkt gegart und hervorragend angerichtet. Kein Firlefanz. Die Saucen waren die Krönung, Ideenreichtum und lecker, selbst zubereitet und rafiniert abgeschmeckt. Das Engagement auf diesem Niveau vom ganzen Team der Rumpelkiste, insbesondere des Kochs ist mittlerweile etwas besonderes in unserer Gaststättenlandschaft. Beim nächsten Besuch werden wir allerdings vorab...

Ich kenne die Rumpelkiste schon lange und war letztes Wochenende mal wieder seit längerem dort.

Es war einfach überragend. Bei dem Essen das Charly kocht würde ohne Übertreibung ein Sternekoch neidisch werden. Ich hatte einen Zwiebelrostbraten mit Käsespätzle und meine Frau hatte ein Duett aus 2 verschiedenen Fischen. Alles war Perfekt auf den Punkt und von höchster Qualität.

Auch der Service und die Gastfreundschaft ist einfach toll. Man fühlt sich einfach von Anfang bis ende Pudelwohl und ist schon ein wenig traurig, wenn es dann Zeit...
