Cafe Topp — Restaurant in Gerstungen

We were on the way driving from Weimar to Dortmund but in the middle of the autobahn I told my wife: "Let's get lost to find some coffee..".

I turned off the car's GPS, find the nearest exit in the autobahn, open the Google Map and find the coffee shop. And finally here we are, in the Cafe Topp. To be honest, initially I didn't know what to expect here but all I need was caffeine.

There were 2 nice waiters and the other one I suspect it was either the manager or the owner (which was also nice). The waiter speak english a little bit thus we've found Google Translate came into the picture. We ordered some coffee and cakes and sit outside of the cafe to enjoy the afternoon sunlight in a cool weather. Not to mention this place was also super clean, all are properly set. The toilet was also super clean.

The coffee was nice, the cake also nice, if I had more time I would have ordered more coffee but I need to continue my journey. I noticed the other customers are coming later on to the cafe and most of them greet me and my wife by saying "Halo" - it feels like we were part of the neighborhood. Lovely.

For sure, one day I will be coming back here. I will miss this place. This experience was really impressive and I couldn't forget - the people, the coffee, the cake, the sun and the cool weather in a...

Leider kann ich persönlich und meine Mutter die guten Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Das einzigst positive was ich zu diesem Cafe sagen kann ist das der Service sehr freundlich ist. Aber wir hatten zwei Eisbecher und die waren sehr enttäuscht. Das Eis kam schon komplett zerschmolzen bei uns an..der Eisbecher an sich sehr unliebevoll aufgemacht..also appetitlich dekoriert nicht wirklich bis dürftig. Das Eis an sich vom Geschmack war nicht schlecht aber die Eisbecher sind waren wirklich eine Frechheit für den saftigen Preis. Da sind wir deutlich besseres gewohnt! Schade. Für uns keine...
