Panorama-Hotel Aschberg — Restaurant in Hüttener Berge

This is a new hotel, with beautiful exterior clad in wood, perched on a hilltop with views all around. Access is easy, being about 10 minutes off the A7 autobahn. I visited in September when the weather was warm and sunny, but I suspect in less clement weather, the walk from the accomodation block up several flights of steps, to the main hotel, may be a bit unpleasant.||||The accommodation block is sculpted into the hillside, the rooms are spacious, well furnished and equipped, and each room has balcony access.||||The only negative is the food, which during our 3 day stay was mixed. At lunch, the buffet meals were overcooked and stale, and the a la carte evening meals just not quite up to scratch. In our large party for example, several fillet steaks were ordered ranging from medium rare to well done, and all were raw in the middle, while my lamb cutlets were overcooked.||||So a nicely built hotel in a great location, but the catering...

This is a review of HUK's Restaurant located within the Hotel. For some reason the restaurant is not listed separately on Google Maps (it is listed on other Maps e.g. Apple Maps).

Huk's Restaurant is phantastic. Excellent fine dining quality food in a cozy semi-casual ambiance at reasonable prices. View from the hill was also amazing.

Food was a mix of seafood, meat, pasta with Asian, American and Mediterranean influences. Preparation was very flavorful with a lot of fresh herbs and sauces and presentation done with considerable attention to detail.

Portion sizes were surprisingly generous. Many people will struggle with finishing appetizer + main.

Solid beer and wine offerings but as with many restaurants in Germany, no substantial offering of cocktails.

The only down sides were somewhat slow service (they seemed a bit understaffed given the number of customers) and the place was a bit warm (August 1st). Dress...
