Gasthaus Bonimeier — Restaurant in Haiming

Every once in a while while bicycling through Europe we come upon a hotel / restaurant that far exceeds the others that we have stayed at over the past twenty years and a least 600 other hotels and restaurants. This was one of those places . The owner / managers , a young couple were amazingly friendly and helpful . The gentleman and his son actually took the time , about 30 minutes , to help me fix a problem that I was having with my bike . This little town has a population of about 300 and is very picturesque and clean . The actual hotel and restaurant appear quite old with a lot of character . However, this age is not carried over inside. Our room , #4, was vary clean and rivaled a lot of the Marriotts and Hilton’s that we have stayed in for modern bathroom with toiletries , great storage space and a very comfortable and bright bedroom . The breakfast was filling and had many food choices . |The on-site restaurant was full of great memorabilia and very interesting decor . The food choices were great , diverse and with a very reasonable price point . We told the owners that we would be back within the year on our bicycles to spend a few more days there . The hotel and the restaurant are two of the finest sleeping and eating places that we have experienced in all our thousands of kilometers that we have bicycled through 14 countries in Europe . The restaurant has an extensive menu with delicious bountiful portions and the ambiance of the restaurant is unique and just-comfortable. It makes you feel at home . Price point is very reasonable and we would love to come back for dinner on a regular basis . |The hotel is truly one of the nicest that we have stayed in for the past many years . Right off the Inn bike path with secure covered storage . The rooms are large , modern , bright and very clean . The reception staff is very friendly and helpful . When we passed through Niedergottsau 2 years ago this place was great but during Corona they have made improvements to things that we didn’t think could be improved .
