Came here today to try their spicy currywurst after my boyfriend heard about it on Australian TV. First he tried 5,7 and 10. The "barometer wurst" is a great option to slowly test your limits. You get to pick 3 different sauces. Then he tried the 11 and broke a bit of a sweat and a runny nose 😂 That level is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Level 11 can only be purchased after you successfully finished level 10. I think it's a smart way to get overly excited people to not get ahead of themselves! Level 12 is only available at competitions and with an ambulance at disposal, which I think is absolutely reasonable. We had great fun and the service was friendly and quick. Prices are moderate but the food was actually really good- even the vegetarian sausage! I picked level 4 and was a bit underwhelmed because it wasn't spicy in the slightest. I usually eat korean noodles that are really spicy and have the same scoville ranking but are BY FAR spicier than level 4 at Brutzelhütte. The fries were yummy as well and the serving sizes are reasonable. If you are nearby, make sure to stop by if you feel like...
Read moreBruzzelhütte is a must-visit for anyone who loves bold flavors, hearty portions, and—most importantly—incredible sausages! As a fan of spicy food, I was thrilled by their selection, which packs just the right amount of heat without overpowering the rich, smoky quality of their grilled specialties.
The star of the show? Their amazing sauces—whether you prefer fiery chili-infused dips or tangy, savory blends, they elevate every bite. Pair them with their juicy, perfectly grilled sausages (try the spicy varieties if you dare!), and you’ve got a match made in foodie heaven.
The rustic, laid-back atmosphere makes it a great spot for a quick bite or a relaxed meal with friends. The staff is friendly, and the aroma of sizzling sausages and smoky grill marks is downright irresistible.
If you’re in Wellingsbüttel and craving top-tier sausages with a kick, Bruzzelhütte won’t disappoint. Spice lovers, rejoice—this place is for you!

The eatery serves different types of sausages and their specialty is the horse meat sausage. You can also choose the level of spiciness (from 1-12) for the sauce that goes with the sausages. I have a mild tolerance for spicy food and spiciness level 3 is just the right amount of heat for me.
Do note that there is very limited dine-in seatings around, and they are mainly outdoors. I will recommend to take it to-go so you can enjoy the food at the comforts...
