After driving though Germany for 3 hours I was hungry and needed some food. As I eat net, which is low carb I thought a steak would be good. I ordered the middle size, and the waitress asked if it should be medium, which I agreed to. I then told her that I didn't want any potato/fries. She looked at me as I was crazy. I didn't ask for compensation. There was a 'eat all you can salad bar'. It wasn't any good. The salad was brown in the edges, the different other ingredients where sluzzy and mixed. The Spoons where everywhere-none hygiene. The ribeye had tensions and was raw. The meat was indifferent = no taste. It had pepper sause on it, but there was no enhancement of the tast between the meat and pepper. Another waiter came over and asked, and I said it was bad - but I eat it because I was hungry. She apologized that it wasn't her that had taken the order. She wanted to give me a complementary coffee. Now the price for this meats was already much higher than in the other German I just had left from, so I had expected more, and I had 'given' the restaurant the fries to sell to somebody else and was willing to pay full. Read moreWe ordered 2 steaks of which one was rather chewy. The service was far too rushed. We got the feeling the staff just wanted us to eat quickly, pay the bill and go. At one point the rather rude waitress was stood hovering over me as I pondered my choice of wine with her hand a fraction from the menu, ready to grab it the moment I decided. The main courses were delivered to the table as we had hardly got to touch our starters. So we had to eat our steaks before they got cold and didn't fancy the starters after that. The portions of chips were too small for even a modest appetite. The cost (with no desserts or coffees) was well over 100 Euros - not great...

It felt like they had taken the ribs directly from the fridge and to the pan. The meat was clinging to the bones like glue to wood. It tasted nothing, absolutely nothing. They had sharp knives, and that was a good thing. Then at least I could cut some meat, except that it was undercooked.... The others in my family got burned nachos and burnt meat...
