Excellent Food! Plenty of Parking! Easy Access to B10! What more can I say? The decor may be a bit dated, but who cares when the food is this good. I've lived in Germany for over 4 years, and have visited many times previously, and honestly, this is some of the best German food I've had! Salads were exceptional! The special pork "Schnitzel Plate" had the very best pan fried pork I've had! The selections are typical German and the menus are in German and French. The servers all speak English as well Card or cash are accepted. Plenty of parking for even large vehicles, caravans, and trucks. Family owned for over 40 years. Only issue is that much needed expansion of B10 *may* mean their demise (or relocation), but if and until then, do stop here when traveling!

Very good place to make a stop on the way to Munich. Last time, I had a very large (humongous) salad for 10 euros. This time, I tried the pork steak with mushroom cream sauce. It was huge as well; the steak covered most of the plate. I had it with the local Schwabische pasta called spätzle rather than French fries. Apart from the fact that being used to mushroom cream sauce in the UK, it was not really white cream (I mean milk cream), it was more of a gravy, creamy but not the type of cream I had in mind. Good for drivers, they serve alcohol-free Weissbier. Like every restaurant, prices have hiked up a good bit of about 25%. And plenty of space to park. It is located on the scenic road between Pirmasens and Landau in der Pfalz.

We stay there to eat on the way to Saarbrücken and get some nice "Bürgerliche" Food. Nice place to eat "on the road" . Service are nice and Food are fresh made. Sauce are not homemade but we dont expect that. because price/quality are very well and portions enough Big and you get also Salad for every meal . We gona come back definitely. Clean and tidy.

We always stay at this traditional country house when we are either travelling to or from Austria. This time it was from Austria. This was our sixth stay. We received friendly and excellent service for all the staff. We are always allowed to park our motorbike at the back of the house. Our room was charming and decorated beautifully in a traditional style with some lovely touches and a clean white bathroom.||The food here is always good and this time was no exception. We ate outside in the hot weather enjoying our traditional food, beer and wine. The buffet breakfast was very good and served in the lovely breakfast area.||We have stayed three time in the large and amazing apartment when four of us were travelling and also in the superior rooms. All the rooms are decorated in traditional style which we love.||The only drawback is that we have noticed that the traffic on the road near the front of the house has got worse in last few years due to road works. This will not stop us coming here again as we’ve always had a good night’s sleep. Overall this is one of our favourite places to stay as it has it all from beautiful rooms, friendly service, delicious food and it’s on the best route for us to and from Austria. We’ll definitely...

We stayed here for two nights after returning from Austria. We always stay in this traditional country house for an overnight stay, so this time we wanted to explore the area. We treated ourselves to the beautiful, large apartment, which we’ve stayed a number of times before. It was still as amazing as we remembered it. It’s so spacious, was traditionally decorated, with a big bathroom, large seating area and comfy bed. The service from all the staff at reception, breakfast and in the restaurant was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was great and served in a lovely, rustic area. The food in the restaurant was delicious too. As we were here two nights, it gave us the chance to walk to Hinterweidenthal and to the devil’s table too. It's near a busy main road but we always have a good night’s sleep. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and will be...
