Been here twice over the period of half a year. What's impressive is the size of the portions. They're huge. Prices are okayish considering the portions being big, but you pay for what you get. So if you are normally okay with a regular size meal, you will pay more here than elsewhere.
Food quality is decent. Nothing extraordinary, but again, the size is the wow factor, not the quality. Second time we were here the quality was less than the first time. I.e. burned buns for the hamburger.
Staff is the biggest challenge here. Uninterested, not friendly, inexperienced and clumsy. Don't expect a warm welcome or a welcome at all. Don't expect a happy friendly waiter. They're clearly not enjoying their jobs. First time the waiter spilled a big glass of beer over me and my phone while serving it out. Not even an apology. Second time they brought out the wrong dish we hadn't ordered. When asking the waiter to change it to what we actually ordered she blamed us for ordering the wrong thing. If looks could kill. After changing it she smashed it onto the table. Mayonnaise no longer being on the plates. Had to chase her again. Again that dreadful look to make her get us the mayonnaise we ordered.
When wanting to pay they easily go and have an extensive chat with another customer or coworker first in the restaurant before bothering helping you out.
Probably has been the last time for us. Shame of what could be a nice place, by just having more motivated customer oriented staff.
Card payments possible, although they like to make you believe the card machine not to be working at first.
Plenty of free...
Read moreI booked a table through the internet. I drove about 35 minutes with my family for the experience of the XXL. We are arrived there on time. Then first shock at the door: "you can only pay with cash". 19 years in this country I have seen this only in fast foods and döner shops. I never carry more than a few Euros with me. I could hardly believe it. Then I checked inside and the guy said "you can pay with paypal". We sat in a table and instead of relaxing with my family, I was thinking how to pay. By the way I have paypal but I'm using it for my online paypents, not payments in a restaurant. 10-15 Minutes passed and nobody case to take the order (so that I could also double check this paypal thing). The whole place was extremely noisy. I asked another service person about paypal. He said.."if your card is connected to paypal...".. I thought: "Sorry I had enough with this. I came to eat and have a good time with my family and not to think how to make payments via paypal". I took my family and left. I didn't have the chance to taste their food but if they want to make it so difficult and old-mode style to pay them, then it is their choice. I would rather go somewhere else, instead of starting to look around for a bank to withdaw money. 1 hour wasted...
Read moreThe place itself is okay other than the stinky restroom. Food is okay. BUT this waitress was unbearable. So rude. And I’ve noticed that she is only rude to foreigners. Even though my company speaks perfect German, she was still being straight up rude. Not just with us but other foreigners at other tables as well. She’s probably not cut out for the job. Especially when we are living in 2025. Overall it ruined my evening for sure. I would not recommend this place if you have different skin colors or the same color but different languages. Judging by other reviews, I wasn’t the only one who felt this. I usually never leave a review even with not good experiences but this was unhinged.
I highly recommend the other branch in the forest though, the vibe was amazing and everyone was super nice to every customer. Also food was better as well. The waiters there actually listen to...
