As with all the food that we had in Germany it was tasty, served proudly, and heartily. I got schnitzel with red bell peppers and a sauce which is not normally how it is prepared but it was excellent! My husband got some form of spätzle and it was excellent too. Staff was helpful and one spoke English quite well, there was no issue with making our needs known or met. It was a lovely day so we ate outside and there was lots of seating. Wir waren 4 Wochen in der Gegend und haben dieses Lokal entdeckt. Meine Tochter fragte bei unserem ersten Besuch, ob sie Ihr Schnitzel auch mit Sauce hollandaise bekommen könnte und anstatt Pommes 2 Klöße. Das wurde nach einer kurzen Rücksprache mit der Küche und dem Chef bejaht. Mal davon abgesehen, dass sie meiner Tochter ihr Lieblingsessen auf den Tisch gezaubert haben, was es auch noch so unglaublich gut und lecker, dass meine Tochter es direkt zum besten Restaurant der Gegend kürte. :) Ich selbst hatte an diesem Abend das Jägerschnitzel und konnte der Meinung meiner Tochter nur zustimmen. Das Essen war einfach richtig gut. Bei unserem zweiten Besuch habe ich dann die Rinderhüfte vom Grill gehabt und meine Tochter.... na ja Schnitzel mit Sauce hollandaise und Klöße, was auch sonst. Die Hüfte war das mit Abstand Geschmacklich beste, was ich bis dato gegessen habe. Der Buchenholzgeschmack am Fleisch war sensationell. Bei unserem dritten Besuch hatte ich dann den Spießbraten vom Grill und meine Tochter.. na ja dreimal darf man raten.... :) Ich wurde wieder nicht enttäuscht. Das Essen war und ist einfach super lecker hier. Die Bedienung war immer super freundlich und zuvorkommen und auch der Inhaber ist ein super netter Kerl. We had a group dinner outing here at the Weiher Schleife (about 20 people, mix of locals and American visitors). The staff was so lovely and accomodating. The restaurant is clean and traditional. And the food was simply superb. Excellent grill plates, beautiful and colorful salads, and cold beers. One of our American friends enjoyed her Spießbraten so much that she returned again for lunch...
