I was a guest at the adjacent hotel for 3 nights. After trying the spectacular food the first night, it was clear that I didn't need to eat anywhere else and I would come try 3 different dishes. The first afternoon I had the pleasure to already enjoy the "tapas" on their outdoor patio menu with an Aperol Spritz. Then on Saturday evening I had the duck breast with an amazing red wine sauce. The second evening it was the chicken in a gorgeous sauce with rice and perfectly done vegetables. On the last night I ordered the "Pfifferlinge" mushrooms in a super delicious sauce with potatoes. All of this paired with a bottle (finished over the course of the 3 nights) of a perfect earthy dry Grauer Burgunder and it was a delight. I only ordered a desert on the first night, which was a very unique apple Creme Brûle with whisky sorbet, because after that I knew that I would not have the space for it.
The whole beauty of the location and atmosphere inside the restaurant is further complimented by amazing staff as waiters and servers. Ms. Strobel is one of fastest and smartest servers I have ever seen. She moves with such speed and grace it gives the guests the feeling that "she's got it all together" and your order will be there momentarily. Also very bubbly, friendly and competent is Ms. Sandra who treats you like an old friend who's invited you to their house, where she anticipates your needs before spoken. She's a very talented people reader.
Thank you to all the staff for making my stay here so special, for ALWAYS being careful with my gluten free diet, and for NEVER making me feel uncomfortable alone in the restaurant. It was like coming to dinner...

Wir hatten uns aufgrund der vielen Auszeichnungen und den toll angerichteten Speisen (Fotos) auf der Homepage des Weingärtnerhauses auf ein kulinarisches Erlebnis gefreut.
Vom Ambiente waren wir begeistert, der Service war ok.
Die Speisenauswahl war äußerst begrenzt, d.h. es gibt eigentlich nur ein 4 Gänge Menü, bei welchem man nur beim Hauptgang eine Auswahl hat. Ansonsten gibt es noch ein paar bunt gewürfelte Speisen wie Wiener Schnitzel, Burger, etc..
Änderungswünsche beim Menü waren leider nicht möglich – die Küche war hier absolut unflexibel.
Die Tellersprache unserer Gerichte war handwerklich nicht sehr anspruchsvoll und hatte mit den Fotos auf der Homepage nichts zu tun.
Eine kreative und moderne Küche sieht anders aus.
Woher die aktuelle Bewertung im Aral Schlemmeratlas - 3 Kochlöffel - kommt, war für uns nicht nachvollziehbar.
Wir vergeben hier 2 Sterne, da das Ambiente wirklich sehr schön ist und uns einzelne Komponenten vom Geschmack her abgeholt haben bzw. der Gargrad im Hauptgang beim Fisch und Fleisch gut getroffen wurde.
Insgesamt war es für uns ein enttäuschender Abend. Aufgrund der Internetbewertungen sowie der Selbstdarstellung auf der Homepage, hatten wir ein ganz anderes...
