Landhotel "Zur Altenburg" — Restaurant in Kalefeld

We had a great stay at Landhotel on our way down south. This is a lovely family-owned hotel located in a beautiful area, just off the A7 highway, but with a calm countryside environment. There are many gorgeous things to see within walking distance of the hotel. The food was very nice, we had two dinners and were satisfied every time: tasty German dishes and huge portions. Etwas abgelegen am Dorfrand findet man das Landhotel zur Altenburg. Es wird professionell und familliär geführt. Das von mir gebuchte Zimmer war groß und funktionell eingerichtet, auch das kleine Bad mit ebenerdiger Dusche war sauber, schimmelfrei und zweckmäßig. Am Abend konnte ich frisch, lecker und selbstzubereitete - kein Convenience Food- Speisen genießen. Herausragend war die herzliche Aufnahme der Wirtsleute sowohl für mich als auch für meinen immer mitreisenden Hund. Sonst sind Hunde meist geduldet aber man merkt eben auch nicht wirklich gern gesehen, das war hier grundlegend anders.
