First of all the good: The hotel is truly dog friendly. Dogs are allowed in the breakfast room, which boasts a generous variety and a gorgeous view. The rooms are spacious and clean, with one of the best make up mirrors I've ever encountered in a hotel. The spa and swimming pool is quite limited, but very pleasant. ||Sadly, there is a fair amount of bad: First of all, parking is awful. We were constantly turning here there and everywhere to try to get a space. In the evening you might as well not try - you will be lucky to be able to squeeze past all the restaurant patrons and seminar groups to get to your room. Worse, the car situation seems to really antagonise the locals, so be prepared to be shouted at by passers by, even when parking exactly where reception told you to. There is also no zebra crossing, so you might need to run through a blind corner, with cars zipping past while clutching heavy suitcases. On our arrival we asked about laundry only to be told there wasn't any. Then on our last day we were asked why we didn't put things into the laundry, as now they couldn't help us as it was too late. No one knew why the fist person gave us the wrong information, but they would most certainly now not be inconvenienced with trying to fix it or even just help. We were moved to a different table virtually every morning, sometimes several times, as the dining hall was being a prepped and only some, unlabelled and constantly changing tables could be used for breakfast. English skills of the front desk employees were very limited to non existent with one notable exception. Odd for a business hotel. It meant our one German speaker was constantly running to the front desk to get our questions answered. In our first night we were woken up at 5 in the morning as staff wielded huge, clattering cleaning trolleys passed the rooms and loudly chatted. They quieted down when asked and explained no one mentioned to them that these rooms were taken. Okay. Not a good start. Then we needed an iron which according to the booklet shouldn't be a problem. The boggled front desk lady however told us she wasn't sure if theirs was working and if we could use it. We finally were furnished with an iron only for someone to barge into the room and ask how long we needed it in case other guests needed it (they didn't even know if they had a working one before we made them ask!). ||The most frustrating part however was the internet, which had a security protocol most devices with sensitive data outright reject. Half of our group simply couldn't use it and the rest were pretty uncomfortable typing in anything more private than a cookie recipe. Again, for a place that specifically advertises itself as a business hotel this is pretty unfortunate, especially as they have the prices to match. However they clearly feel they are still not making enough as there are advertisements everywhere, destroying any romantic atmosphere left. It seems to perfectly straddle the impersonal "you are a number not a person" large business hotel approach with the confused, friendly cluelessness of a small, cheap hostel. ||Overall it was nice enough, but we...

Read moreThis hotel is not located in the city center but just little outside in a nice area. Although the hotel is build next to a street, it is not very loud during evenings/nights. ||We had a room on the other side (south side). As the weather was really sunny for days, the temperature in our room was very high. Make sure you ask a room at the street side as this hotel is not having an AC and your room really gets hot. ||The room was clean and modern equipped but with an open bathroom. Both the shower and the toilet are open and there is only one door (for either the shower or the toilet). I found out that they also have 'closed' bathrooms, so make sure you ask for it if you require little more privacy in the bathroom. ||The service is very friendly and helpful (they offered us another room when we complained about the bathroom). Car parking is available, free of charge and no need for reservation. Breakfast has a good selection of food and is included in the room charge. ||It is nice hotel for spending a long weekend, we...
