i did an internship here. Everything is precooked and frozen, just gets heated up in an oven. Even the soups come precooked in a bag and just get warmed up and put inside a pot. The only freshly made things are salads and gravy. Other than that there is no cooking going on at all. Just warming up frozen products. The employees are nice, but the establishment itself is pretty much not a real kitchen. The worst part of all, at the end of each shift any remaining products get thrown out without even a second thought. Lots of cooked salmon, meatballs, mashed potatoes, peas etc. get weighed and then thrown straight into trash due to the regulations. I understand that the products wouldn't be fresh on the next day since they were unfrozen, but would it really hurt a billionaire company to donate this food or even just sell it at a big discount before closing? Or even just use a service like "Too good to go"?

You can enjoy the shopping and when you need to refresh your energy just enjoy the restaurant, drink something and eat, the food are Ikea standard, simple but nice , have also salads and deserts , you can buy a drink and the refil it’s free . Toilets are near the eating area they are big and clean , my only negative points are the seats are not comfortable , for a place who sells comfortable chairs, they are missing at restaurant , the place you need to rest a bit after long time walking inside , they do need pay attention on the employees from restaurant also (kassa) we was attended by a very rude one yesterday, maybe she is overworked! Anyway , hope change something about...

Sehr sehr befremdlich.... Meine Tochter (18) war heute, am 8.08.2024 um 10:40 Uhr im Ikea Restaurant um Wartezeit zu überbrücken. Danach saß sie weinend vor mir. Ihre Erfahrung: Sie sah beim Betreten des SB-Bereichs nicht, dass man, wenn man einen Kaffee trinken möchte, diesen an der Kasse zahlen muss !!! bevor !!! man sich diesen befüllt. Sodann ging sie an der Kasse vorbei zum Automaten und startete den Zubereitungsvorgang. Sie bemerkte einen Mann in Warnweste und die Kassenkraft, welche sich links und rechts von ihr positionierten und sie in sehr barschem und lauten Ton aufforderten zur Kasse zu gehen. Ihr wurde das Tablett abgenommen. An der Kasse entschuldigte sich meine Tochter zwei mal. Sie wurde ignoriert, man stand neben ihr, vermutlich um den Fluchtweg abzuschneiden. Die Kassenkraft warf, immernoch ignorierend, mit einem Gesichtsausdruck der absoluten Verachtung, das Wechselgeld vor sich auf ein Tablett. Die Tatsache, dass meine Tochter dann aus Unsicherheit anfing zu weinen, schien sie keineswegs zu beeindrucken. Ich habe schon einiges an Kundenunfreundlichkeit erlebt, aber das war die Krönung. Dieser Kassenkraft sollte dringend ein Arbeitsplatz ohne Kundenkontakt zugewiesen werden. Die Bewertungen und das Ergebnis von 2,9 Sternen sprechen für den Gesamteindruck, welchen das Restaurant...
