KP Latino — Restaurant in Landshut

I’m sorry but I have no choice but to give 1 star after today’s experience.

We tried to visit today (a regular Friday) when the restaurant is supposed to be open 10.30-22.00 according to your Instagram. When arriving at 12.30 for lunch there was a sign on the door “closed, we’ll be back at 14.30”. Ok, annoying, but we decided to shift things around, have a light snack and come back later. But when coming back at 15.15 believe our disappointment when there was another sign “closed, we’ll be back at 16.00”.

I think this is incredibly unprofessional and not something I’ve seen, ever, in Germany.

We had travelled all the way from Munich looking forward to some good Latin American food (something that is very rare here) and instead we had a terrible sandwich from the supermarket and...

KP Latino ist ein tolles neues Lokal hier in Landshut! Eduardo kommt aus Venezuela und kocht seit Ende Juli in Niederbayern entsprechend auf. Als Chef, Koch, Kellner und Wirt ist er dabei immer freundlich und seine offene und herzliche Art reißt mit.

Auf dem Menü sind venezolanische Gerichte wie Arepas, Empanadas und Pabellón Criollo zu finden, sowie Burritos und Tacos, mit denen Freunde der Tex-Mex Küche sicherlich schon vertraut sind.

Die Zutaten sind hier so einfach wie sie gut sind: Bohnen, Avocado, Käse, etwas Salat, Gemüse und Fleisch nach Wahl. Dann entweder mit Reis im Burrito gerollt, in Arepas gepackt, oder als Empanadas oder Tacos serviert.

Das bedeutet, dass alles auch problemlos ohne Fleisch zubereitet werden kann und mindestens genauso gut schmeckt. Vegetarier können sich hier also auch mehr als austoben!

Einziges Manko sind momentan die begrenzten Sitzplätze, da durch die Größe der Räumlichkeiten schlicht nicht so viel Platz ist.

Ich kann einen Besuch hier nur empfehlen! Zum Mitnehmen oder direkt an einem der Tische wird man hier sehr gut kulinarisch versorgt und ich freue mich darauf, Stammkunde zu werden.

Update September: Nachdem Google Maps das Lokal vor einigen Wochen gelöscht hatte, hier nochmal meine Review von Mitte August. Seitdem war ich bestimmt ein-zwei mal pro Woche im Lokal und konnte inzwischen eine Vielfalt von Gerichten probieren. Ich bin nach wie vor ein großer Fan und wurde noch von keiner...
