I visited KFC Waldlaubersheim (An der A61, Lohrgraben 17) recently, and was genuinely impressed — easily one of the best KFC locations I’ve tried in Germany.

From the moment I pulled in, I noticed how convenient and well-designed the facility is. There’s plenty of parking, and the large driveway and signage make it easy to find even from the highway.

The interior strikes a great balance between modern fast food and welcoming comfort: clean lines, lots of natural materials, warm tones on the seating, and a tidy layout that makes waiting or dining in pleasant. It doesn’t feel cramped, even when busy.

What really stood out was the staff. Friendly, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. I never felt rushed, and everyone I interacted with clearly seemed to take pride in their work. The order was ready faster than I expected, and everything was exactly as I asked — hot, crisp, well packaged. No missing sauces, no mix-ups, which is always appreciated. (It’s the little things.)

The food itself was excellent. The chicken — juicy inside, crunchy outside — hit that “just fried” sweet spot. The sides complemented it well; the fries were crisp (still hot), and everything tasted fresh. Even the presentation — the bucket, wrappers, dipping sauces — was satisfying.

One of the best things: the ambience. Despite its size, the restaurant felt more like a place you’d enjoy lingering in than just stopping by. The lighting was good, seating comfortable, and the free WiFi helped make the wait feel short.

If I had to offer a minor suggestion, maybe the drink stations could be a little better staffed during peak hours so refill queues are shorter. But that’s really a small quibble.

Overall, KFC Waldlaubersheim deserves high praise. Great food, great service, and a space that makes fast food feel just a little more special. I’ll be back — and I’ll happily recommend it to anyone passing by the A61 looking for satisfying...
