Horrific experience... We stayed with our 3 children in a hotel close to this restaurant... instead of spending money in a worldwide famous fast food...we decided to choose a local 'restaurant'...bad idea...

We arrived, and the waiter asked us if we made a booking.. Our answer "NO" was the beginning of our "fantastic dinner"...(If there is no availability for us... just say it - we can understand the priority is for people with a booking..).. The waiter gave us a table just in front of the door. This door was non-stop opened (clients, delivery service)....this means a constantly cold wind....so nice....

The food : We ordered different plates, and when the waitress arrived... we were "surprised" to see that different plates (3) have been put on 1 platter...why not, but it was confusing because the quantity was limited and we are pretty sure that we didn't get all what we ordered.... In addition to that, the taste of the sushis wasn't 'wonderful', not bad but not as expected (based on comments seen on Google)..

And last but not least, the cherry on the cake... THE BILL I asked to pay.by card... After a couple of minutes, a waiter said to me that we have to pay cash because the terminal who accepts credit cards is temporary 'out of order' and the second accepts only 'German' cards.... Then a second waiter comes to explain to me that there is a sign on the door informing that...Sorry we didn't see it (maybe because there are so many signs on the door..) AND nobody said us before ordering...(even when you heard that we are not 'locals'... We also proposed a payment by phone...but not accepted Conclusion : I had to find myself a solution (cash) for a lack of information of the restaurant....

Leider musste das Arizona an dieser Stelle weichen und ich hoffte, dass auch die Sushi Lounge punkten kann, denn für mich ist das Lokal Fußläufig gut erreichbar und ich sollte nicht enttäuscht werden!

Zur Lage: Kostenlose Parkplätze gibt es in der Umgebung ausreichend. Im Zweifelsfall bietet sich Abends der Lehrerparkplatz des angrenzenden Berufskolleg an. Vor dem Lokal sind nur wenige Stellplätze, daher Zeit fürs Parken mitbringen!

Zum Lokal: Ich war gespannt, was passiert, da die Vorherige Raumgestaltung kaum zu einer Sushi Lounge passte. Insgesamt wurde das Lokal sehr schön umgestaltet. Es macht durch die großen Glasscheiben schon sehr neugierig. Auch das man im Eingangsbereich einen guten Blick auf den frischen Fisch und die Sushi-Koche hat gefällt mir sehr. Einziger Haken, für den das Lokal aber nur wenig kann, die Toiletten liegen im Untergeschoss und sind nur über eine Wendeltreppe erreichbar. Für Personen mit Beeinträchtigungen in der Mobilität daher nur bedingt zu empfehlen.

Zu den Speisen: Das Sushi welches hier geboten wird kommt in einem guten Preis- Leistungsverhältnis und ist sehr frisch und lecker! Es wird sich viel Mühe gegeben alles schön zu dekorieren und auch die Vorspeisen konnten Punkten. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die vegetarischen Frühlingsrolle als Vorspeise.

Getränke: Die Getränke kommen zu den normalen Gastronomiepreisen.

Service: Es ist schön ein paar Gesichter vom vorherigen Betreiber (Arizona Grill & Restaurant) wieder zu sehen. Die Mitarbeiter da waren schon sehr zuvorkommend und in der Hana Sushi Lounge legen diese die gleiche Professionalität und Sorgfalt hin. Das neu hinzugekommene Personal arbeitet sich langsam ein, macht aber auch durchaus einen guten Job.

Sonstiges: Einen Lieferservice gibt es leider nicht und Tische sollte man weit im Voraus reservieren, da die Nachfrage sehr groß ist und Spontan nur mit Glück noch einen Tisch ergattert. Speisen können für Außerhaus bestellt werden. Diese können telefonisch bestellt werden und dann zur vereinbarten Zeit abgeholt werden, das funktioniert sehr gut.

Fazit: Uns hat es geschmeckt, das Ambiente und der Service überzeugt und vom Preis- Leistungsverhältnis für qualitatives Sushi ist völlig in Ordnung. Wir kommen...

This is a brand new sushi restaurant near BayArena and Calevornia waterpark in Leverkusen. It is good. No, it is REALLY GOOD! The food was excellent, fresh and tasty. Heaven and earth if you compare it to what you can buy in a supermarket, honestly. The choice is good, both traditional and modern options. Reasonably priced. Think 20-25 euro per person with a glass of wine or some nice cocktail. Staff speaks very good English, very friendly and attentive. The place itself is new, clean and has a good balance of local and oriental feeling about it. Highly recommended. 10 out of 10. If they can keep it like that for the next year I would say, it's going to be worth coming...
