We arrived were met by the owner who showed us to our room which was on the first floor with a balcony and en-suite. It was a very large room with a large and very comfortable bed and table chairs and settee. We had our own set table for breakfast and the breakfast was good. They do not open the hotel restaurant on Wednesdays but the owner told us 60 m up the road is the landhotel which does serve food and has a bar. Looking out from our balcony was open fields with horses the views were great. We had a meal in the restaurant on our 2nd day and it was very nice and reasonably priced.1 mile away is the ludwigsfelde railway station where you can travel to the center of Berlin in 20 mins cost 6€ return. tickets are available from a machine and the kiosk. there are plenty of places to park there. We stayed for 2 nights so we could go in to Berlin each day and see the sights. use the internet to book the visit to the Reichstag's the views from the roof are...

Read moreWe stayed at Gästehaus & Pension Zum Löwen for six nights in mid-September 2024. This was our second stay in the past two years with owner Karsten and his family. It was easy to book our reservation directly with the Pension. It is an ideal base from which to explore Berlin, Potsdam, and the many thermal spas in the area. Karsten is very welcoming and personally saw to our comfort, which we very much appreciated after a long journey from the USA. The rooms are large, clean and spacious with a relaxing view of the countryside from our balcony. The breakfast buffet was delicious and ample, carrying us well into the afternoons. The on-site restaurant serves excellent meals, and the accommodations are a great value. We rate Gästehaus & Pension Zum...
