We recently stayed at this hotel (Himmreich Suite) for a whole week.||The rate was 120 Euros per night, which we found pricey for what it was. ||The suite is spacious, the bed very comfortable, the owner very nice. We also liked having a fridge in our room and liked being able to make the bedroom dark. But that's about where it ends. ||||The furniture looks a little cobbled together. We found lots of spider webs in the corners of all rooms, and cleaning did not come daily, even when we hung the sign outside the door to clean it. Our boy had spilled cookie crumbs on the floor, but they were not vacuumed away.||||The bathroom was awkward because you can't stand straight in front of the mirror because of the roof. The shower curtain needs to be shortened, too. For 120 Euros a night, we expected basic toiletries. All we got was 2 tiny packets of cheap shower gel. ||There was also no iron and iron board, and it took us three days to get one (no staff around the first morning, the second morning none of the staff knew where there was one, then emailed the owner and finally got one on the third day). ||The hotel is located directly at the main street and with trucks and tractors and cars driving by, it was very loud, especially in the morning. ||||The internet was pretty much non-existent, but it might be a Zirkow problem. I was thrown out of my connection after a short time so many times that I had to use my cellphone data the entire time we were there.||||We stay at hotels around the world all of the time and this has been probably our most disappointing one, especially considering the price. ||To compare, we had just stayed at the Potsdamer Platz in Berlin (amazing location, same room size, everything was new and modern, clean, amazing breakfast buffet included) and only paid 105 Euros a night.||Right now, we are staying in Arosa, Switzerland for 145 Euros a night, room is just as big, including breakfast for three, minibar included, amazing spa included, amazing views, and passes for lots of lifts and cable cars, and the hotel is new, modern, clean and service is amazing. ||||I just think this hotel is not worth the price. We like supporting small hotels, but quite a few things need to be improved for us to want to stay there again, especially at the...

Read moreThis place is special!
Lets start with the location is awesome if you want to explore this gorgeous island from all different angles whether you love the outdoors, fine dining, shopping and more.
Himmelreich is a boutique type hotel with all types of amenities and lovely outdoor space. Worth noting the place was absolutely immaculately clean (an important factor now at days). There was a very nice upscale yet reasonably priced restaurant in the hotel along with an awesome spa and gift shop that had quite a unique feel to it.
The owners of the hotel and staff were such nice people and made us feel right at home with great recommendations of what to do and where to go and in general a way above average level of hospitality. It also happened to be my 40th birthday and they were so kind and did something really special for my birthday making it one of the best birthdays I had in years.
To conclude, if you are looking for a lovely, clean place to get away that is reasonably priced yet still a special place I would say Himmelreich is the best...
