We've stayed in a few hotels in Munster over the last couple of years as our daughter studied at the UWW, but this is the best so far. We're surprised the hotel only has 3 stars, the standard seems much higher than this.|The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city, and this is reflected in the price and the peaceful environment. The area is well served by local buses. The number 11 opposite the hotel will take you into town for just 3 Euros.|Our room was small but well appointed. We particularly liked the bathroom, the shower was first rate. Breakfast was in a dedicated ground floor room and buffet style. There was a good selection of food and coffee was freshly made to order. The staff were really lovely, and between our poor German language skills and their smattering of English, we did very well. |We really recommend the linked Bakenhof restaurant. As bike enthusiasts we are aiming to return for the facilities to ride bikes in relative safety in both town and country. As for the hotel, we found it very clean, comfortable, friendly, and, for its facilities, excellent value. Rarely have we seen a buffet breakfast as extensive and delicious as this! We spent three days at the Bakenhof and regret not adding a couple of extra days to our itinerary here.||The food in the restaurant is certainly as good as other reviewers noted. I was especially pleased with the fish and pointed cabbage - unusual in a restaurant, but in contrast to experiences elsewhere with cabbage, this was genuinely outstanding in terms of both taste and texture.
