Bei Ivan — Restaurant in Marl

I went there because someone told me, that she went there with her parents when she was little, and had good memories of it, after watching all the positive reviews, I thought why not. It is the first time that I didn't finished my steak, not even half of it, the texture was completely of, more like it was blended and realy dry, when I told them it was baked to much, they answered that I didn't tell them how I liked my steak, but they never asked, since I had an appetizer first, I thought, they would ask it later, and then it slipped my mind, till they brought it, and it was well done. I thought accidents happen, but then I heart complaints from 2 other tables... so I don't know how they had so good reviews, but, they shouldn't have, there are better ones close by. Also the menu had no prices, you had to ask, they had a good stake on sale for 25 euro black agnus, so I thought the normal ones would be around the same range or a bit more, but they asked 38,5 euro for that piece I couldn't finish. The person who came along, tried it also, and didn't like it all either, I didn't dare to take much pictures, since they were a bit aggressive about it.... you can see the almost completely left over steak nicely black in the plate when I gave it to another...

Very nice restaurant. Just found it looking for a place with a varied menu. Very happy with this one. The servixe was fantastic, it was fast. Clean, clean bathrooms, good athmosphere. They made changes as i wanted to the dish, due to restrictions i have. The food was 4 out of 5 because for me everything was salty as i am sensitive. My husband gives 5 stars:-) he had a balkan dish, meat stuffed with cheese. Exciting, tasteful. He was amazed by the super peppersauce, it actually tasted pepper. Very happy we decided to come. We dont speak german, but it was fine due to an understanding waiter, google and the guests next to us. Recommend you to try...

Es war unser erster Besuch bei Ivan. Kurzfristig vor Weihnachten einen Tisch für 6 Personen gesucht. Zu meiner Überraschung hat das sogar geklappt. Am 2ten Weihnachtstag dann hin, zugegeben ein bisschen skeptisch wegen dem Zeitfenster von 2 Stunden. Vor Ort wurden wir sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen, sehr schnell kam die Bedienung und nahm schon Getränke wünsche auf. Es gab eine „kurze Karte“ (im Wehnachtsgeschäft verständlich). Die Preise für Filetsteaks „auf Anfrage“, jedoch lag ein Din A4 Bltt auf dem Tisch , mit Erklärung und Preis dazu, wie auch Getränkeempfehlungen (Weihnachtsgin). Bei der Essensbestellung hat die Bedienung extra nochmal auf die Preise der Steaks hingewiesen. Entgegen meiner Befürchtung, dass es ewig dauert, bis das Essen kommt, war nach rund 20 Minuten jedes Gericht am Platz. Ich war begeistert, das Filet war auf den Punkt Medium rare und wirklich zart! Die Pfeffersauce dazu war selbstgemacht und angenehm pikant, wird aber nächstes mal zugunsten des Filets weg gelassen. Auch die anderen waren von Ihren Essen begeistert. Die Portionen waren geoßzügig dimensioniert (auch die Kinderportionen), qualitativ gute Zutaten und gute Zubereitung. Zum Abschluss gab es noch eine Runde Schnäppes aufs Haus. Der einzige Wehrmutstropfen war, dass es keinen Nachtisch gab ( wohl wegen der 2Stunden Takting). Zugegeben, dann wäre es vermutlich knapp geworden. So konnten wir in Ruhe unser Essen genießen und noch Kaffee/Cappuccino trinken. Fazit: Einmal und gerne wieder! Trotz voller Hütte freundliches Personal, und...
