We booked two rooms and stayed 2 nights last week. What a gem of a town and place. The rooms were lovely and spacious and well appointed. However a heated towel rail would help in the colder months.||The breakfast and dinners were really great. The staff spoke very little (or no) english, and we had the time of our life translating the menu. It was so funny, and we were all laughing. We had stayed in the big cities up to this point, and stayed there so we could take the one hour train ride to Fussen to visit the Neuschwanstein Castle. Read moreThe restaurant’s food is wonderful, with an Italian flair. From the breakfast buffet to the dinner and bar menu, everything we had during our 2 night stay was fresh and tasty.
The room was clean and updated with all the necessities. It was like the equivalent to an American bed & breakfast.
The staff was warm and hospitable and provided us with information about the area, when asked. Very attentive and available, too.
The area was beautiful - we went in autumn. The hotel is located in a small town with lots of charm and culture. It’s 3 km from a town center with restaurants and shopping. Church bells are heard every quarter hour....
