We celebrated our son’s birthday here and it was a wonderful experience, quite in contrast with some of the reviews here.

The play areas and the variety available is excellent. The children were playing from start to finish and then some more after the party.

The cafe opened a birthday account for us and our guests could order as they liked with the account. The settlement took less than 2 minutes and overall it worked out well and reasonably for the number of guests we had.

The children had a great time picking berries and veggies. Some of the reviews mention outrageous prices and entry fees, but I felt that there’s a reason behind it. I don’t want to spell it out here, but if you visit the cafe with family or a party of 6-8 people, it turns out to be a good deal for great quality produce.

Lastly, but definitely not the least, I knew going in that my German not being great, there may be some hiccups, but I was quite happy with the helpful service.

A lucky thing for us was the weather, which looked like it may rain but never did. The crowd was somewhat limited because of this. We had visited before to check things out and that time, I could see that crowd effect can be somewhat detrimental on the overall experience. We had planned with this in mind, and were fortunate not to have to worry about...

We were there yesterday and my husband found a maggot in his food! It was absolutely disgusting and the appetite was spoiled for all of us. He got the money back but nobody offered any gifts as an apology.

Then we wanted to buy strawberries but the place was already closing. The young man said he would still sell it to us if we find the exact amount of cash (5.90€). I started looking and as soon as he saw the cents he said they don't take cents. Err hello, you just told me yourself to look for 5 euros 90 cents!...?.. At the end I anyway only had 4€ and asked if I could buy strawberries for that amount. He said no and we left. I really should have told him about the maggot and the fact that we should probably get something from them as a gift for this disgusting occurrence. But I didn't feel like arguing or further discussion since he seemed pretty aggressive.

It's a shame really. This used to be our favourite place for a while. Now it became very expensive, very commercial, to pick berries you are now charged entrance, there are queues everywhere and on top the personnel is not nice and there are maggots in food!

Really, a very big shame. This used to be a lovely place to visit with kids....

Beste...

The best place where we could have celebrated our daughter's 5th birthday. Booked a Bear Box; it was perfectly spacious for 6 kids and their parents. There was shade, close to the "kiosk". A package for kids involving Pommes, Schokomuffin, Apfelschorle, ice cream, and some more snacks, wasfair for the price. We also ordered pizza. All delicious, the kids liked everything. Oh, and the cool cake with smarties was a nice surprise. The best strawberries I have had in quite some time. The kids loved them too. The kids were extremely happy and entertained; and we, parents, enjoyed good meals, superb coffee, and nice atmosphere. In a long-run I would recommend more trees by the fence to shade off the parking lot and a nearby highway.

We went there with #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet very spontaneous and thought about getting fresh strawberries but we didn’t get some. They sell them only at the entrance. Inside the place which is located next to the Autobahn is made for kids. You can drive with bobby cars or tractors while the parents can have some rest with coffee and ice cream... don’t know but the whole ensemble wasn’t like that what we expected. #Bigfoot was happy on his bobby car and for the first time #Littlefeet too. But with that power line over our heads and an upcoming storm we didn’t feel comfortable. Next time we go directly to a strawberry farm.

great place to spend a whole day with your family to pick fruits and vegetables yourself, find your way out of a corn maze and let your kids have fun on the playground while you enjoy a cup of coffee, a piece of cake or a whole meal at the self-service café. even in late September with the plums, blueberries, zucchini and peppers all gone, we still found lots of fantastic strawberries and lots of ripe apples and pears. the one great downside is that it's really expensive because you need to pay for the admission, pay to pick fruits and then pay a very steep price for the actual harvest you're taking home.
