Seidl`s Cafe Waldtrudering — Restaurant in Munich

Seidl's is a lovely cafe with beautiful interiors. It has indoor and outdoor seating where one can have coffee and cake or go for a lovely small lunch or brunch. I especially go here for coffee and cake and have been ordering my kids birthday cakes from Seidl's for over 4 years now. They have a good big variety of cakes available and also make custom cakes according to ur wishes. The cakes are always super delicious. I really like the decor and dishes are also tasty. It would make a wonderful place for a brunch with friends. The staff and the owner are super nice. Especially Mr. Seidl, the owner of the Seidls is a wonderful person...always smiling and nice. He goes out of the way to help customers. Recently I called them up a day b4 my kids bday and asked if i could pick up a cake in the morning as i forgot to order it earlier... he immediately asked me to come first thing in the morning with my kid and choose what i wished. When we arrived there my kid was taking ages to choose a cake...the variety was confusing him yet Mr. Seidl waited with full patience, not once getting irritated....finally he agreed on one cake and Mr. Seidl went to pack it. Suddenly my kid saw a football field cake model in the vitrine and just wished out loud that wish he could have that....hearing him Mr. Seidl immediately offered to convert his chosen cake to look like the football field ....I couldnt believe my ears he offered that as we had only 1 hr to give b4 the cake could be picked up yet he said he ll do his best!!!! The cake was transformed to a little green round football field within an hour....I cannot describe the happiness on my little kiddos face on seeing his football field cake at the party!!! Thank you Mr. Seidl from all our heart....the cake was super delicious as always and u made a little kid soooo happy!! Thnk u....will definitely return to u soon for the second coming...

Geburtstag gerettet ! Durch ein Missverständnis musste mein Mann an seinem Geburtstag beinahe auf seine heißgeliebte Prinzregententorte verzichten. Ich war fest davon überzeugt, die Torte beim Seidl´s Cafe in Waldtrudering in Auftrag gegeben zu haben. Um acht Uhr an einem Samstag Morgen wollte ich diese dort auch abholen, stand aber vor verschlossenen Türen. Wir dachten, dass wohl wegen der Corona-Thematik etwas schief gelaufen sei und fanden uns schon damit ab, den Geburtstag ohne Prinzregententorte zu feiern. Am späten Nachmittag (zwischenzeitlich hatten wir noch andere Dinge zu erledigen) wollten wir uns telefonisch im Seidl´s Cafe erkundigen, ob bei der Bestellung etwas ist und ob die Konditorei überhaupt geöffnet hat. Herr Seidl war persönlich am Telefon. Schnell konnte er Klarheit in die Angelegenheit bringen. Offenbar ging die Bestellung gar nicht bei ihm sondern bei einer anderen Konditorei ein. Am Samstag wird das Seidl´s Cafe aufgrund der Corona-Thematik erst um 10:00 Uhr geöffnet. Doch er bot uns kurzerhand an, noch heute eine Prinzregententorte -quasi extra für meinen Mann- herzustellen. Und tatsächlich: Zwei Stunden später konnte ich eine liebevoll verzierte Geburtstags-Prinzregententorte persönlich von Herrn Seidl in Empfang nehmen. Nach Feierabend hatte er sich nur für uns in seine Backstube gestellt ! Herr Seidl und sicherlich auch seine Lebensgefährtin haben den Geburtstag meines Mannes gerettet. Es war eine der besten Prinzregententorten, die wir genießen durften. Vielen Dank Herr Seidl !

We enjoyed paying a visit to Café Seidl. They are always very kind and service is diligent. They also serve ice cream from outside during summer months. There’s plenty of seating inside and outside and the menu offer a huge variety of different food and drinks, cold or warm. Outside, they are also dog friendly and serves them a bowl of water.
