Panorama Restaurant Lohme — Restaurant in Nord-Rügen

We were happy that we were able to reserve a table at short notice, an hour before we wanted to eat. Coming in we were welcomed by a friendly man who took us inside. Inside we asked if there was still a table with a view, this was answered with a very curt 'nein'. A little less friendly start.

The restaurant is nice a bit kitsch, but clean and well maintained.

At our table we were served by a waiter who was very unfriendly, curt and basically impolite. We tried to keep things light but his attitude did not change unfortunately.

The wine and food were good though, not excellent but it contained a few tasty surprises and we were served by a few younger waiters who were friendly which improved the ambience a bit. The unfriendly waiter kept being rude and we were in and out within the hour.

We did not give a tip and our waiter appeared to be very annoyed by this, I hope he will realise in time that it was all his own fault (and not our so called Dutch greediness 😉)

All in all we did have a decent mail with some nice wines. If you go there and feel annoyed by the waiters, don't hesitate to go away or comment on it, we should have done that but our German was not sufficient.

Wir haben das Restaurant zu dritt besucht. Der erste Eindruck war auch sehr positiv - ein gepflegtes Haus an einer schönen und ruhigen Stelle direkt an der Steilküste gelegen. Die Aussicht war bereits vom Parkplatz sehr toll und diese hatte man auch vom Speisesaal beziehungsweise der Gartenterasse aus.

Obwohl wir bereits vor der offiziellen Öffnungszeit um 12 Uhr ankamen, durften wir bereits Platz nehmen und es wurden uns Getränke serviert.

Die Vorspeisen kamen sehr zügig und waren sehr gut. Die Portionen waren recht gross und schienen frisch zu sein. Auch der Hauptgang kam innert einer guten Zeit. Die bestellten Fischgerichte (Lachs & Dorsch) waren geschmacklich gut - hier möchte ich vor allem die Bratkartoffeln löblich erwähnen. Das Gemüse schien jedoch leider aus der Tiefkühltruhe zu kommen - so hat es zumindest auf mich gewirkt. Die "Spaghetti Frutti di Mare" waren jedoch leider ein totaler Reinfall. Bereits auf den ersten Blick vielen die Rollen von "Krabbenimitat" auf. Zudem waren die weiteren Frutti di Mare eher in Form von Meeresfrüchte-Hack den Spaghetti untergemischt und nur wenig Sauce dazugegeben.

Alles in allem können wir das Restaurant aus unserer Erfahrung und persönlicher Meinung bezüglich der ausgezeichneten Lage, den Vorspeisen und der Fischgerichte empfehlen. Von den Spaghetti würden wir...

We stayed in this hotel and really liked the hotel and restaurant both. Great location, awesome view from the restaurant. We ordered Snitzel and Pasta. Pasta was really nice. Also we loved the dessert. Overall I would rate is 4, 1 star less only because Snitzel was not upto the mark for the amount we payed. Rest everything was really great.
