So. Have been here many times over the years. In the past was decent. Never anything super special but a decent place for a coffee and cake, wuth nice architecture and history. This particular time went and ordered our coffee, cake, food and drinks. The staff was courteous on arrival but when ordering they brought the wrong items. We merely asked if one of the drinks was actually what we ordered and to replace the other wrong item with the correct one. Non alcoholic beer for normal weiss bier. To which the waitress replied rudely my “Chefin (boss)” said that is correct you ordered that and attempted to give us the wrong item. Both my wife and I explained nicely we did not order that. She argued in a rude tone to which we matched. And told her no. We did not order that. Definitely not. And to get the correct item. We will not be paying for something we didnt order. Duh. 🤦‍♂️ Ever heard of kundendienst aka customer service? She said “you will need to speak with my boss about that.” So we replied go get her. They finally brought the correct item and rudely walked off. Ruined the vibe of our lunch. Next time. Fix the issue. Do your job. That is the problem with this area, with tips already in the cost the service lacks and staff can be quite rude. Pretty annoying when the job is so simple. And they failed. Id find another place. Past few years quality of cakes not as good as years prior and the coffee...

The food was really excellent; we had a big 400g Steak that was expertly grilled as well as a variety of lamb that just melted in your mouth.

The museum in the front is awesome as well; it takes about half the space of the Haubarg and gives great insights into the history of Eiderstedt/Nordfriesland and the myths surrounding the Roter Haubarg. Would recommend to arrive about an hour in advance to check out the museum; it's really worth it to read every single...

Wir wurden freundlich eingeladen draussen oder drinnen zu sitzen, wie es uns beliebt. Wir haben uns für draussen entschieden, trotz des nicht so überragenden Wetters. Die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend und störte sich nicht daran uns als einzige Gäste draussen zu bedienen. Unsere Bestellung wurde zügig aufgenommen und ebenfalls zügig bearbeitet und an den Tisch gebracht. Während unser Essen an den Tisch gebracht wurde, fiel der Bedienung auf das noch Kroketten anstatt der bestellte Bratkartoffeln auf dem Teller waren. Ich habe die Bratkartoffeln umgehend nachgeliefert bekommen und das ohne Aufpreis. Geschmacklich war es sehr lecker und ansprechend garniert. Meine Partnerin hatte die Linsensuppe, welche ebenfalls absolut schmackhaft war. Preislich liegt der Rote Haubarg im, für die Region normalen Segment für Restaurants in Nordfriesland. Das Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis ist definitiv in Ordnung. Man bekommt ein sehr schönes und ansprechendes Ambiente geboten. Innen ist der Gastraum urig eingerichtet und man kann überall kleine Dinge entdecken. Zusätzlich zur Warmen Küche bekommt man auch Torten und Kuchen, welche eher lecker aussahen. Wir waren aber so satt, dass wir diese nicht mehr bestellt haben.
