Trattoria Antica — Restaurant in Oberhausen

A corner of Italy in Germany. It was in May and what a discovery! We found this Trattoria, because for once, it's not called a 'pizzeria'. That's the difference with an excellent restaurant, like at home in Italy. A warm and family atmosphere. The young waiter also saved our honor, because we don't speak German, and we were able to make ourselves understood in English. We had a lot of difficulty speaking Italian. Only been a couple of times but always really happy with the grade of food and the costs are great too. Servers often Waiters always keen, can usually find some thing I want within the menu. Zuerst das positive. Die Inhaberin ist super freundlich und heißt jeden Gast herzlich willkommen, das habe ich bisher selten so nett erlebt.

Nun zum leider negativen Teil, der die Vorfreude dieses Geheimtipps früh im Keim erstickt haben. Die Einrichtung ist ziemlich wahllos und verdreckt, überall Staub und Spinnweben, Deko, die kein Konzept hat und Möbel, die teilweise nicht zusammen passen, so dass kein Platz zwischen Stühlen und Tischen mehr für die Oberschenkel ist. Von den Toiletten, die sich hinter einem Schrank verstecken, der kaum Platz für durchkommen bietet, möchte ich gar nicht anfangen. Dazu kommt Musik, die nicht nur zu laut ist, sondern sich ungelogen alle 60 Minuten wiederholt. Nun aber zum wichtigsten Teil, dem Essen. Die Karte bietet viel, vielleicht zu viel. Das Fleisch hat etwas abgestanden geschmeckt, die Sauce war derart überwürzt, dass sie ungenießbar war und vom Fleisch gekratzt werden musste. Bei einem Schärfe-Wettessen hätten einige schon das Handtuch geworfen bei dieser Runde. Die Rosmarin Kartoffeln wären froh gewesen, wenn der Rosmarin vielleicht mal daran vorbeigelaufen wäre. Das Gemüse bestand aus einem Stück Brokkoli, lustlos auf den Teller gelegt.
