Restaurant Orakel - Savvas Theodoridis — Restaurant in Oberstenfeld

The review is for the Guesthouse and Guestrooms at the Orakel Restaurant.||||Very very greedy and dishonest Owner.||||Came for a wedding in Beilstein and had to change the hotel for 2 nights. Called Orakel a day before and found out the rate was 92 EUR per night for double room with breakfast. The following day wanted to book it and checked the availability on Booking.com, it was 170 EUR for 2 nights (Fri, Sat). At the same time the hotel I was moving out of called Orakel and reserved the room for me. When I came to Orakel in person I was given a rate of 130 EUR per night!||||When I showed Booking.com rate the Lady at Check In Desk just went to the computer and marked the room as unavailable for online booking and kindly informed me that I can look elsewhere if that was too expensive.||||The owner claimed 130 EUR per night is the standard rate. This is so tacky to prey on people like that.||||Since I was in need, I paid, but would not stay again. The pricing policy is too iffy. The room I got was very dated, the bathroom super small old and no toiletries were provided except for hand soap. Not worth the money at all. ||||Needless to say, I had no appetite to try...

We went there to have a celebration dinner on account of my brother's wedding. The food was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of it. We asked if we could have an extra large grill platter and 4 plates and they happily complied. We dined outside and the atmosphere was lovely. The owner initially thought that we were celebrating a birthday and came over to congratulate, and after he found out that we were a wedding party, he shortly returned and presented a nice bottle of wine as a gift to my brother and his bride.
