Hello Swagat team, I am a big fan of Zaika in Nürtingen, however I wanted to try a new restaurant today to see if there is someone who could offer even tastier food. So I drove 15km to Swagat in Reutlingen for a takeout. Having seen the google reviews, I had pretty high expectations.
A few minutes ago, I’ve ordered samosa, chicken manchurian, butter naan, roganjosh, paneer tikka masala for slightly over 50€.
Food: Naan was only half cooked. chicken manchuria for 2 people was a small box (appears to be for 1) and it was just chicken cubes in sauce and not even close to manchurian texture as there was no flour. Samosa has countless dhania seeds and potatoes, relatively smaller in size. Roganjosh and paneer tikka masala tasted like nothing - no flavour, spices and tasteless. Utterly disappointing ☹️
Price: For the price they charged, I expected quality, presentable and delicious food. A similar order at Zaika in Nürtingen would cost less than 40€ but most importantly very delicious food.
I hope you rework the recipes and adjust the pricing accordingly.
Utterly disappointed and never again!...
Read moreSwagat, located in the heart of Reutlingen, is a hidden gem among the Indian cuisine restaurants in the area. From the moment you step inside, the welcoming atmosphere, warm decor and attentive staff make you feel at home. The menu at Swagat is extensive, with a wide variety of traditional Indian dishes to choose from, including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. I have ordered the mixed Tandoori dish which is a must-try, with tender chunks of Chicken, Dug and Prawns with Naan and a spicy tomato-based sauce that will leave you wanting more. Vegetarians will also be pleased with the numerous options available to them, including the paneer tikka, a grilled cottage cheese dish marinated in a blend of spices, and the chana masala, a chickpea curry with a delicate balance of flavors.
The food has been of excellent taste, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. Originally from India, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Indian cuisine...
Read moreI have visited various Indian restaurants in Germany and found out that Swagat in one of the best. They provide some unique dishes with authentic taste, which surely will tingle your taste buds. They have some awesome Tandoori dishes (Must try). One starter dish which I would definitely recommend is Chicken Manchurian with Garlic Naan (I never thought a Chinese dish with Naan but it tastes extremely good). For the main course they have several options, your decision will never go wrong as all the dishes are good. For Drinks if you want to try something outside the Menu card, ask them if Jal Jeera is available. This is one of the most comman drink in India during summers. Its very refreshing (MUST TRY) At the end one must try the Indian mouth freshener (Saunf). I would definitely recommend everyone to go there. The staff is very friendly and kind. Due to CO-VID, they have also started Take away, so you can also order their food...
