Landhotel zum Böhm — Restaurant in Roth

Stayed here with some colleagues during an exhibition /fair in Nuremberg. Overall not bad.

Positive: Situated about 25-30mins drive from messe Nuremberg. Not yoo much traffic from thia direction hotel is located by a main road but is extremely quiet especially at night price is considerably lower than those in Nuremberg staff are very accommodating and friendly free still bottle water every time they clean your room which is always welcome

Negative: some rooms are on the older side but rooms also available in the newer building we did arrive in the early morning, 1.30am, so reception was closed. Not so obvious and clear but the key box is located in the courtyard which is in the middle of the hotel complex, pass the parking lot. Can be a bit stressful especially after a long flight or drive to find the key box and with no light. breakfast is a bit basic but has some bread, eggs and cereals which was fine for me but some guests may have other expectations little issue with booking an extra night which needs to be done on booking.com rather than in person

Overall not a bad stay and would stay again due to the location and price but it is not...

There was noone to greet us upon arrival. The key had to be withdrawn from a box. There was no dinner service and no information where we could go to eat (a great problem when you have travelled all day). The room and the bathroom were big, warm and very clean and the bath tub a great plus (the soap bottle in the bath tub did not work). However,, the bed was uncomfortable (very hard and hard pillows) and the corner of the bed caused bruising and scratches as we kept bumping into the sharp corners (four times)!!! One of the bed lamps did not work. The TV was very small and very far away from the bed - and impossible to tune into the English speaking channels (Bloomberg and CNN) - the numbers of these channels did not correspond to the list provided. The breakfast time: closure at 9.30 is too early. The breakfast provided was OK but not abundant. The scrambled eggs were served on one platter for two people and was provided without condiments such as sausage, bacon, tomatoes etc. Unfortunately this hotel did not live up to the expectations given the price we paid and we will not chose to stay...

Business stay and booking managed by the local company I visited. I would say that was the typical Bavarian Gasthaus I was expecting. ||Room was maybe a bit smaller than expected, but correct, and really hot due to the unexpected good weather. It was even a bit hard to sleep. But I am not really complaining. This was happening in the new building, which is the one behind the old and nice one from the photos. ||It has to be explained the nice detail consisting in a wine bottle, which was a present for customers.||We had the chance to work and have a nice beer in one of the tables of the restaurant just before the dinner. Also very nice dinner, for sure following the local style into a comfortable ambience. ||I will repeat next time, and also recommend it if I...
