Kind of a nice location, if it were not for the busy and loud road right next to it. True to their name, they have about 20 different Schnitzels there, i.e., Schnitzel with different sauces or different sides. I had kind of a German standard, the Jägerschnitzel, which comes with a brown gravy with mushrooms (hunter style Schnitzel). It came with french fries and a side salad, no bread. There were perhaps 2 sliced button mushrooms there, more like one, so that was very stingy and disappointing and kind of a joke. The sauce was a bit bland, and overall I found this food very salty. I had the impression the breaded Schnitzel was deep fried, but I am not sure. I hoped this to be pan fried in butter, but perhaps they only do that for the Wienerschnitzel. Price was OK. Overall, this place does not warrant a return visit. For a place that calls itself "house of Schintzels" this was rather disappointing. I paid the same for much better food at the früh Kölsch brewery house in...
Read moreI am incredibly grateful for the experience I had at this restaurant. I came in feeling exhausted and asked if I could buy some water, as all the stores were closed. The waitresses greeted me with such genuine empathy and care it was clear they truly wanted to help. They offered to fill my bottles with water, though I didn’t have any, which showed an extraordinary level of thoughtfulness and kindness. On top of that, the dish I ordered was absolutely delicious. The warmth, attentiveness, and genuine heart of the staff made my visit unforgettable. Owners, you should be so proud of your waitresses, they go above and beyond in a way that truly touches people. I will definitely be returning next time I’m in Germany, hoping to have them serve me again. I really wish I left a tip. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for not just amazing food, but also an experience full of...
Read moreGreat schnitzel place just outside of Trier. We went here with a family of 4, unannounced. The place is not very big (approx. 8-10 tables in total and a bar) We were lucky because there was only one table left.
There is a large variety of Schnitzels (around 20) and even a vegaterian option. The schnitzels we got were extraordinarily large, between 250 and 300 grams, they had a good flavour and are beautifully served in an oven pan. A healthy amount of salad with fresh dressing and a HUGE amount of fries is served with your order. There are also a small number of other options on the menu.
TIP of the day: For small eaters, consider taking the small schnitzel option since this will also save you 2 euros and perhaps you won't feel bad for not eating all...
