I am infatuated with this place!! I knew the moment that I pulled into the parking lot that this was one of the best decisions I made to stay here. Itâs located in a quiet, small town and a short drive away from the Ansbach city center. The staff is warm, friendly, and very accommodating. The hotel itself is very clean and decorated very tastefully. It has been renovated recently. The original building is historic but you wouldnât know that if the pictures werenât on the wall or if werenât advertised. Thatâs how great of a job the renovation is. It has stairs although not that many and a lift which is great when you have luggage. I would actually rate it much higher than a 3 star for quality alone. For hard sleepers, you may want to bring a supportive pillow or two or if you ask, you may be able to request an additional one or two. The price point is also attractive and you get a lot of value for your money in regard to both the food and hotel stay. The breakfast is a standard German breakfast but they do prepare different type of little round omelette style eggs that are pre-made. The bread selection and coffee were very good as well. The parking situation is critical at dinner time at least over the weekend. However, there are additional parking spots within walking distance from the hotel and when you dine here, youâll quickly come to understand why the parking lot is full. Dinner here is nothing short of fabulous from the presentation to the taste. I had the fish menu one night which consisted of the fish soup, sword filet, side dish of the day which were grilled vegetables, and a dessert. I couldnât finish everything because they give you a lot of food. The fish soup alone is pretty filling and the sword fish is big. The dessert was pleasantly portioned although I had to pack some of it to take away. Each dish was a star in its own right, I was dancing in my seat after each bite and it didnât hurt that they play lovely bossa nova jazz lol. I was so happy afterwards and slept like a baby later.
Another evening, I had the goat cheese starter, the Mediterranean fish dish with a small salad. Finished with the biscuit with chocolate and pistachios. Again, I couldnât finish it all but I was delighted to have tried these fabulous dishes. The owner convinced me to try the starter because it is one that is wildly popular with guests. I hesitated because Iâm not a fan of goat cheese as I find the taste overbearing. However, I am so glad that I allowed her to do that because I have never experienced goat cheese like this! It had just a subtle punch to it but it was buttery and almost reminded me of ricotta cheese. In fact, after I had it, I asked the owner to adopt me which thankfully for me she happily obliged and announced that I was now her daughter to the other patrons in the roomđ. I purchased their olive oil which is unique to the restaurant. It is divine on fresh bread and I already have ideas on how to use it in my salads. I also purchased their Moscato because itâs one of the best Iâve had. Be aware that they are open for a limited time on Sunday so you need to plan for dinner accordingly.
It takes a few hours to drive to get here from where I live however, I have to admit that itâs certainly worth the trip just to stay at the hotel and dine at the restaurant. Especially, since I now have to see my adoptive parents regularly who cook with so much love! I canât recommend this...

They tried to have it open all week and added employees. The restaurant has very high ambitions and soon it became apparent that with more people involved there was just too much hassles and problem keeping a consistent high standard.
