Mind you, dear readers, that the title of this review is in no way an exaggeration. ||It so happened that we arrived at this wonderful place after we've had a little car trouble on the very nearby A7.||While looking for a place to stay, at around 19:00, mind you, we stumbled upon a mention of the LandHaus on the interweb. We decided to call in and were immediately provided with some of the most friendly and highest quality service I've ever had or seen in my life (even though only my wife spoke a combination of quasi-german - german combined with norwegian and english).||We were offered the Buchenweis room and I must say that the size is truly impressive.||From the moment one walks in, one is overwhelmed with the german spirit and tradition that the LandHaus Zum LindenHof simbolizes. Everything gives a complete sense of the german culture, from the entryway, to the very large fireplace burning brightly and heartily even on a not so cold day, that was ornately decorated with a pair of antlers.||The kitchen and the bar are above any kind of reproach. The fragrances wafting into the restaurant from the kitchen, of goose cooked in a traditional german way (the night we were here), would be of no help to one whom would not want to try the absolutely delicious local Ratsherrn beer (local to the Hamburg area), available at the bar on draft/tap.||All in all, if you are in the area, LandHaus Zum LindenHof is truly, and for all intents and purposes, a place any of you should stop and see, no matter your business and/or other...

Read moreMy wife and stayed here for 1 night on our way from Switzerland to Sweden for a 2 week road trip in Scandanavia. On check in, we were upgraded to the one of the biggest rooms in the house (not bad for a booking.com booking). The staff was very professional and courteous. The room was immaculate and recently renovated. Lots of space and new, clean, fresh linen made it a real treat. Shower pressure was great and the bathroom convenient. We ate at the restaurant and had a delicious veal schnitzel. Make sure you try the Kirchner Riesling & Sylvaner - a real winner and you can buy it from the gasthaus. Breakfast was delicious with the usual German spread. There's also a beautifully manicured beer garden and even space for the kids to run around in. Located in peaceful surrounds you couldn't do better if you were looking for a relaxing break just outside of Hamburg or on your way to...
