We arrived by bicycle at about 6:20pm, and were seated while most tables were still empty. We advised the restaurant that we had some time pressure due to sunset, and placed our orders by 6:30pm. Our drinks were served. Many other tables were seated. After 40 minutes with no food having been served we asked a waiter to check on our orders in the kitchen; he took his time before going to check. Fifteen minutes later (with still no food, and no status from the waiter) we had run out of time and we had to leave (to bicycle the remaining 12km to the train station before dark); we went inside to explain to the restaurant; it turns out that the kitchen had lost the order. The restaurant failed in various ways: losing the order in the first place; us having to ask about our food order after so much time, instead of the staff having noticed us sitting there for so long without food and proactively checking on the order; failing to immediately check when we asked, and then failing to immediately notify us when they learned of the error in the kitchen; failing to offer anything other than "apology" for the whole situation (the absolute minimum should have been to offer the two beers complimentary for the trouble; more correct would have been to offer a future meal). Good (5): Superb food.Traditional German foods that is very well cooked. The “Surf and Turf” that I ordered is one of the best, if not the best, that I have had. It was the Today’s special on the day we where there (2020-01-24). Service (3): Nice lady who served us, German house wife wibe. Little bit stiff in the since of not smiling (i.e quite stereotypical German). Order of which she did thing can improve as well as her English. All in all Good. Atmosphere (4): Amazing house, very rustic. Large old barn stile with big beams in the sealing. Tile on the floor, hay on the a small loft etc.

Ländlich gelegen, unweit der Weser, liegt dieses ehemalige Hirtenhaus (siehe www.browiede.de). Dieses steht nach eigener Aussage "für eine handwerkliche Küche, bei der die gute Qualität der Produkte im Vordergrund steht." Dem eigenen Anspruch wurde die Küche gerecht - weitestgehend. Der Gast findet bei seinem Besuch ein angenehmes, stilgerechtes Ambiente vor, das zum Verweilen einlädt. Das Mitarbeiterteam ist freundlich, aufmerksam und bestrebt, den Besuchern alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Vorbildlich! Die bestellten Speisen kamen sorgfältig angerichtet in angemessener Zeit auf den Tisch. Der gebackene Ziegenkäse in Haselnusskruste schmeckte den Gästen ausgezeichnet. Deutlich weniger schmackhaft war die Intscheder Hochzeitssuppe. Viel Blumenkohl, wenig Eierstich und Mettbällchen aus der Tüte und etwas Fleisch. Ach ja und eine Stückchen Spargel. Schade, eigentlich eine leichte Chance für einen guten Opener wurde hier enttäuschend vergeben. Der Preis von fast 10 € für ca. 200 ml Suppe eher nicht angemessen. Die Hauptspeisen, insbesondere die Fleischbeilagen (Rumpsteak mit Fettdeckel medium auf den Punkt gegart und das Duett aus Gänsekeule und der Entenbrust waren top zubereitet. Lecker! Dass Knipp vom Wild immer etwas trocken ist, ist bekannt. Allerdings waren in dieser Portion etwas viel Graupen. Und auch Bratkartoffeln kross und lecker auf den Tisch zu bringen ist nicht ganz einfach. Und so waren auch diese etwas weich, aber geschmacklich sehr gut. Es hätten für mich als Kartoffelliebhaber ruhig etwas mehr sein dürfen. Auch mit den Nachspeisen waren wir sehr zufrieden: Das Eis mit heißen Kirschen und Sahne mundete.
