My wife and I stayed one night at the Seeschlösschen in Gross-Köris. It was a pleasant stay; nice welcome from the staff; the dinner was very tasty (with good veggie options). The room was large and clean and the whole hotel seemed to be in a good shape with a nice garden and somewhat castle-like impression for one building at least. The neaby lake is also nice, although it seems not possible to take a walk around as the lakeside properties are all private. A few downsides; mainly the fact that the charges for dogs are steep: 9.50 Euro for a small dog and 15 (!) Euro for a large one. When we arrived, the receptionist said the price would be 9.50 Euro but the next morning another lady (although she was also friendly) said we need to pay 15 Euro as we have a large dog (which the other lady also saw but she gave a different price). That fee is excessive, I'd say (5 Euro are OK). The breakfast was somewhat basic; the offering could be richer and of higher quality (e.g. better breadrolls). And notice that Wi-Fi is not free unless you have a Deutsche Telekom subscription. Furthermore, note that I wouldn't recommend staying there for more than one night, as you hear the traffic noise from the nearby highway all over the time. But it's just fine for a stopover during a...

Read moreA great family stay during our Tropical Island weekend adventure. The hotel is very conveniently located not far from the airport and very near tropical islands resort. It's surrounded by pine and mixed woods and has a beautiful lake by its side. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the only thing is that it could be better with a bathtub in the family room instead of a shower cabin. The hotel restaurant is very well set up with sections of it decorated in traditional, part modern style and has large terrace overlooking the kids play area and garden. On our last day children were tired and sleeping until late morning after a full day of fun, the hotel personnel were kind and offered us take away boxes to take some food for children from the breakfast buffet. The food for breakfast and from the ala cart menu for lunch and dinner...
